  2. Can the recommend anywhere as good, for a similar price? I was meant to get round to trying Headnizm, but then saw they were closing down. shame
  3. I bet some 'naughty bored housewives' scenes on those insalubrious channels with high numbers on your Freeview box have been filmed around East Dulwich.
  4. mine was down too, but came on again about 19:30
  5. If you get on a bus running through Peckham in the late afternoon, the local youths with obnoxious manners will normally be putting on a free concert of dancehall music through their mobile phones. I will warn you though, it sounds awful.
  6. You can probably get away with parking in or across someones drive nearby at that time of day, as they may have already left for work. If your only going to be an hour or so, they will be none the wiser as they will be at work all day, and by the time they come home, you'll be long gone.
  7. oh, the gloves are off! Excuse the pun. I notice you didnt offer anything whatsoever to the conversation, just picked up on a response which displeased you. Careful twitching those curtains.
  8. Im outside this zone, but when i have visitors there is always a space or two in my road for them to park. Being just off the Lordship Lane where all the shops etc are, and near to the station, no doubt this will no longer be the case as people will simply just park in roads like mine now, rather than pay for to park on the other side of LL. Whats the effing point?
  9. I was hoping the police stop i saw last night might have been connected to this. 3 undercover cars and 1 normal squad car had stopped a car outside the M&S beside East Duwlich station around 6pm. The three occupants, middle aged men of possibly Eastern European or maybe Turkish origin were handcuffed and the car being searched, i could see the boot was full of tools. No idea whether they were arrested or not, they looked pretty relaxed about the whole thing which made me think they had nothing to hide, but its good to see the OB are active in the area.
  10. That Everton fan was hardly a bystander wrapped in club colours going along to the game to cheer on his team and maybe have a cup of tea at half time. He was part of a large gang of hardcore football hooligans from Merseyside who had arranged to meet their Millwall counterparts and kick the living crap out of each other around the residential streets of Surrey Quays. He got his face slashed while doing so. So perhaps some perspective, idiot?
  11. Id like to see Millwall play against Chelsea, or West Ham in the cup. I would go along just to watch it all kick off, it would be quite funny.
  12. I would prefer a Wetherspoons to be fair. Seems like a good spot for it.
  13. i suppose its a money spinner round those parts as the rich people that come in need to get their little darlings a glass of coke to keep them quiet. I must say though, never heard of it costing that much!
  14. mine is also a 3. Is 1 worse or is it 5? I only ask as i am going to make my street significantly worse by having lots of big bonfires once Autumn kicks in, as i have loads of garden waste i need to burn, as i am not paying for it to be collected.
  15. I'm paying ?3 a pint of Estrella at Dulwich Hamlet. Also have the option of paying ?3 for a Peckham Pale Ale. Worth noting, this is season ticket members prices, but still.
  16. Wheres the 'increase in drug dealing' in the area? I never notice any drug dealing in the area, and i have a very observant eye. Not saying it doesnt go on, but i doubt its an escalating problem that needs addressing, over something like car crime, for example.
  17. Millwall fans seem to do this, i have heard one shouting this loudly outside a pub in London Bridge before. Also, one shouted this before taking on the Borough Market terrorists. https://www.independent.co.uk/News/uk/home-news/london-bridge-terror-attack-fk-fuck-you-im-millwall-hero-roy-larner-football-fan-lion-of-london-a7775246.html
  18. Whats the prices like in this pub? expensive, like most of the others in ED? i really dont agree with paying ?5+ a pint. I suppoose this question might be a bit pointless anyway, after a refurb pubs normally bump their prices up so even if it was reasonable before its probably not going to be when it reopens.
  19. Hoping for a Pizza Hut and Subway to arrive soon too.
  20. I don't really understand or like how people say "oh my poor cat was scared of the fireworks" around guy fawkes night. It is a long standing tradition and im afraid your dog or cat will just have to put up with it, it is far more inconsiderate to expect people not to let off fireworks for fear of upsetting someones moggy 3 doors down.
  21. Wish id of seen this. A good fireworks display is always welcome, and its rather hard to control the noise they make, being explosives and all that. They generally are loud, and are legally permitted to be lit at any time of the evening before 11pm. Therefore, i see absolutely no issue with this 'extra loud firework display', there is nothing inconsiderate about it!
  22. Perhaps vehicles such as mopeds should be banned from the roads between 0000-0600 in the East Dulwich area, least they wake up an unfortunate person trying to get some sleep in their nice house. Let them ride around Peckham and wake residents there up instead.
  23. KFC would be a great addition to the area, although id rather it was closer to the hub of East Dulwich on Lordship Lane, what used to be Surma would have been an ideal spot.
  24. Agreed, who was the man with him? Why did he not try to stop this awful incident?
  25. egg her house! tempted to myself and she hasnt even wronged me.
