I have a NOW TV box for about a year. Originally used it for both the Entertainment and Films but dropped the films after Christmas as most were rubbish IMO. I've bought the occasional day pass for Sport which if you're into football is pretty good value as you get to watch a couple of PL matches for ?8. The Entertainment pass gives you access to all the usual Sky channels except Movies. It's been pretty good value I think. I was able watch the last of the Mad Men series, been keeping up with Game of Thrones, am part way into The Affair, watched Fortitude etc. For ?20 for the box and 3 months of the Entertainment pass it's a good deal. If after then you decide it's not for you then their is nothing else to pay. You can always rejoin at a later date. If you decide to go ahead PM me as if I refer someone and they sign up we both get a ?10 gift voucher.

I have to admit I find it kind of ironic that the very virtual medium used to discuss and in some case mourn the changing face and pace of change in relation to physical the East Dulwich is now subject to the very same.

My daughter is travelling to the US this summer for around 3 months and I wondered if anyone had any advice on what the best option is for using her phone abroad. She's on Tesco Mobile and their overseas rates are punitive so she needs to get another SIM I think. Any advice on what the best option is ? Has anyone read Tessa's "Homes for Londoners" speech ? It talks a lot about the need for new homes but doesn't explain how they will be funded. I've been commuting for years and I fold my shirts in a similar way to this (though fasten every other button) http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/clothing-care/fold-dress-shirt I then put the folded shirt in a thickish carrier bag and pop this in my pannier. I'm sure Ortlieb are great but I've been using cheap ones from Decathlon for ages. It does seem a faff at first but the freedom not to be bound to train departure times and the currently awful platform 15 at London Bridge will make it all worth while. It also depends on what facilities you have at work to store stuff and what showering facilities there are.

OK - I can't quite see but on the wireless receiver you have a green light on. Are you sure that this is not just a power LED and that there's not another LED that comes on when it receives the signal from the thermostat (Mine has two LED's one for power, one for "call for heat" from the thermostat) ? Is there an override switch on the receiver to force it on ? I've had trouble with mine before receiving interference from other devices that communicate on the same frequency. I had the opposite problem, our boiler was coming on in the middle of the night when the programmable thermostat was off. I changed the frequency that the thermostat and receiver were on (how you do this will depend on the model - maybe you have a manual ?) and that sorted it out.

Here's a few pointers based on my experience. 1) In a perfect world radiators are sized to give a heat output that will keep you comfortably warm whilst allowing for heat loss. If you are buying new radiators then their specification should incliude a BTU or Watts figure for output. Problem is you don't know what the output is of the old radiators. Your best option is to look for something similar that's new and check the output of those. Screwfix has some basic radiators that might be similiar to the ones you're wanting to replace. So long as the new and old radiators are roughly in the same ballpark for output then you should be OK. 2) Almost certainly floorboards will need to be taken up but not all of them, it depends on where the existing pipework runs underneath. It also depends on whether the boards run across the room or front to back. Plumbers should try to minimise the disruption to the boards, especially if you explain that you plan to sand and varnish afterwards. 3) Have a go at removing the old rad's yourself. There's bound to be YouTube videos on this. In simple terms you have to close both valves (one probably won't have a turning knob on) to stop the water flowing from the pipes and then loosen the nuts that connect the valve to the radiator. You will need LOTS of old towels/sheets etc and shallow trays to catch the water that will come out of the radiator. Anyway of you can get them off you could get your decorator in to do the walls and then arrange for your plumber fit the new rads afterwards. Hope that helps.

I?ve recently travelled to Shoreditch High Street on the Overground a couple of times, both in peak hours. When the journey is started at East Dulwich and I change at Peckham Rye then it costs ?2.60. When I started the journey at Peckham Rye itself it costs ?2.90 ? 30p more. Both were PAYG fares. Absolutely bizarre ? anyone shed any light on the logical reason for this ?
