  1. Do you shop at Waitrose or Iceland ;)

"I'm fresh - eat me now" - not a > female porn actress but a piece of fruit. When someone says or writes "my bad", I'm always waiting for the next word, as "bad" is normally used as an adjective.
  3. My bad - what's wrong with my mistake ?
  4. Forumites signatures.
  5. That's a Hosta. Absolutely loved by slugs and snails. I've tried all the tricks for these: copper rings, grit, coffee grounds, egg shells, beer traps. Slug pellets are still the best though, IMO.
  6. One of my Heuchera's is having its leaves munched by something. Unlikely to be slugs (slug pellets abound). Can't see any caterpillers. Possibly the dreaded vine weevil ? If anyone knows the most likely cause and the best solution it'd be much appreciated.
  7. ebay - less than a fiver delivered.
  8. My daughter's been on Tesco for a year now. No problems at all and very good value.

I saw Skylight last night. Excellent. A great script and really well acted, (especially cooking the ragu). You'll love it.
  10. KFH don't look like they've reduced this one @?2M http://www.kfh.co.uk/residential-properties/houses-for-sale-london/houses-in-east-dulwich-se22-elsie-road/2102561/

  12. Try the Ask Admin thread in the "About this forum" section
  13. Thanks - all sorted now.
  14. Thanks - good idea but beyond the budget I'm afraid.
  15. My daughter is catching an early flight from Southend Airport next week and needs to be there before the first trains arrive from Liverpool Street. Any suggestions as to the best way to get there, other than a minicab or I drive her myself ? It doesn't look there's a coach service.
  16. ken78 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > is nunhead village getting better than east > dulwich, looks like it getting better every week Still don't have their own forum though. Besides, having lived in villages for a significant percentage of my life I can honestly say that neither Nunhead or any of other Estate Agents "villages" are remotely like the real thing.
  17. Near Alleyns so unlikely to be related.
  18. I know VM get a lot of bad press but they did well last night. We noticed smoke coming from the street box over the road from our house at about 7:30 coinciding with a loss of broadband. Thought we'd better call the Fire Service who turned up 5 minutes later. They called Virgin Media and waited until the smoke stopped. Virgin Media turned up by 9:30, fixed the problem (power supply issue) and normal service was resumed by 10.
  19. You're out of luck there - that's going to be a primary school. London Overground goes to Canada Water (Surrey Quays) from Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye. Quicker but not free like the buses are for teenagers.
  20. Depending on where you work and commute to perhaps you could start with just hiring a Boris bike each day to get used to cycling around the central London part. You could try in the Wanted section - there's bound to be someone out there with a bike that they don't use that regularly that would be willing to lend it for a week. You could also try the Southwark Cyclists forum - I think they have guides that will accompany you into/out of London. http://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/
  21. No doubt this has been said before but as I am currently in a hotel it's really grating. Waiters and waitresses that say "enjoy". Grr

I assume that you include yourself in "Some people" - wasn't it you that started the thread on the East Dulwich Deli closing and suggesting what might move in instead ?
  24. Personally I'd like to pay more for my burger, ?12 is not enough. If there were fewer shops selling cheap burgers then perhaps we be rid of some of the East Duwlich riff-raff.
  25. Looks like it: http://www.harrods.com/content/the-store/restaurants/east-dulwich-deli
