No - just the way the OP presented them almost made it seem like it's a undispitable fact.
  2. Sorry but who voted for these and what are the criteria by which they were judged "the best" ?

  5. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=377 I think you'll be fine.
  6. Brilliant no - contrived yes. I was very disappointed that plot relied on (a) the owner of the charity shop who kept a detailed inventory of every item that that been brought in when and by whom and (b) that the police just happened to find a photo with of the scarf wearers car driver with the license plate clearly visible.
  7. We bought ours over 4 years ago from Yes Windows based in Biggin Hill/Westerham. They supply Sunflex doors which come from Germany and are the same as those sold by id-systems. Follow up customer service has been good, if the doors have required adjustment then they have come out pretty quickly. So far so good. http://www.yesglazing.co.uk/

  10. Yeah. I emailed the Gong bar and they said tables has to be booked and minimum charge was ?30 a head. Might try the Aqua bar which is walk in and can't be booked.
  11. Has anyone experience of the bars in the Shard ? I was thinking about taking my wife there for her birthday but don't know how difficult it would be to get in. I'd be going mid-week.

  14. Foxy - I find it intriguing that you seem to be be-moaning another cafe. Do you feel the same way about the half-dozeon or so curry houses on Lordhsip Lane ? Live and let live I say.
  15. ClaireClaire - having had two children go through GCSE's at the Charter I can agree that it's confusing. In the past children have been streamed into three pathways - let's call them high, medium, and low. Children in high and medium pathways take Methods and Applications separately, as you have discovered, which counts as a double GCSE for the pupil. The lower group take a single maths paper. The foundation paper allow the maximum of a C grade whereas with the higher the maximum is A*. If you want any further information I'd encourage you to contact Mr Williams who is head of KS4 at the Charter and/or Dr Todd who is the Curriculum Leader for Maths. 16. Does your daughter still have an O2 contract - if so you should be able to get them to do it for free. Otherwise you could get a PAYG SIM and then O2 will charge ?15 to unlock it. http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/unlocking-your-iphone-and-using-it-on-another-network#qs
  17. I use OpenDNS (it's free) and have done for years very reliably. It's very easy to set up the only thing is you need to be able to configure your DNS server which may be too techie for you. You can probably do this on the tablet (and hope your daughter doesn't know how to remove it) or on your router. Most routers - even from ISP's have an option to change the default DNS server. If you google "Change DNS server " you'll find that someone has written some instructions somewhere. http://www.opendns.com/home/
  18. Whilst on the subject of Maths, 60 out of 90 is not 75% it's 66.66%.
  19. If you go down the NAS route there a Netgear one for sale for ?125 - not sure 2TB would be enough though. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,1375434,1379904#msg-1379904

Couple of threads that might be of interest. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1189509,1191148#msg-1191148 http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1149042,1188990#msg-1188990 As for noise this can largely be eliminated by using a Fluidmaster valve, or similar, rather than a traditional ballcock type. They are designed to be much quieter than traditional valves.
  22. Congratulations to my daughter who received her A-level results today achieving A*, A and B grades and has secured her place at Birmingham University. Congratulations to my daughter's friends who have also done extremely well. And thanks to the Charter for being such a great school.
