  1. well - you tell me to go away and that I'm taking myself too seriously? I don't take myself too seriously but the limericks are a different matter, there are standards to keep up!
  2. *awful lot of noisy bawling going on in this here quiet room*
  3. that's a tad rude MadWorld. A limerick is a limerick and the rhythm had gone distinctly off, I was not the only one to comment. Tillie, where are you?
  4. what's the difference between running each other through with swords and shooting?
  5. furryjumper - try the CTC website or the LCC website
  6. that was quite funny for Louisa!
  7. is that the criminals or the soldiers?
  8. *thinks: DM on the Badoit* *something is awry* *passes over bottle of bolly and a straw*
  9. sorry guys - if you go back a few pages you will see some illustrations of limerick rhythm. can we try and keep to the form.
  10. L O L to all of the above. Louisa missing the nail's head by a mile as usual!
  11. I'll second that. It's the same for houses. I'm seconding Catgirl but Brendan got in first.
  12. Charlie Chaplin seems to have occupied several houses of South London. He was born in East Street and a house in Kennington also claims him as a resident. Do we know where in ED he lived? He was involved in a theatre in Camberwell I think.
  13. I quite like doing Dog Kennel Hill, in a sort of masochistc way. Certainly on the way down it's fab!
  14. Dulwich Village
  15. Franziskaner is also at the Dog and I think the other weiss mentioned.
  16. Gawd Declan - you won't let it lie will you. I'm not quite sure whether to take you seriously or not. I am responding to your questions with answers that I have heard about whilst travelling through this life. Don't tell me you have never come across these philosophies or ideas in your travels? I find it hard to believe that you have no knowledge of the main religious beliefs and in fact I can make assumptions based on your last post. You may be feeling somewhat put out by my comments regarding the Divine Light Mission and I have to say I have no personal experience of them so my opinions are only based on what I have heard from acquaintances who have been involved. I am not in the slightest bit religious and I follow my own path to either enlightenment or nothingness thanks. You, likewise are entitled to follow your own path. PS - in re. reincarnation, from what I have heard the aim is to stop being reincarnated and reach enlightenment, that's what's wrong with it. OK - re-reading, you do have knowledge of beliefs, you are asking me if I do. I'm not sure if we are having an argument or not. Do you think I am religious? You have been asking me questions to which I have been giving fairly all religion-encompassing (based on my minimal knowledge) answers. I think there was a thread not that long ago where there was a theological debate, someone else may be able to resurrect it (no pun intended ha ha). XX
  17. Thinking about it, I suppose the Hari Kiri style of suicide does not necessarily stem from depression. OK you don't have to be depressed.
  18. But surely to take this course of action you must be depressed, whatever emotions, feelings or situations lead to you becoming depressed. We're not talking 'clinical' depression in the case of a chemical imbalance but a state of mind where one is despairing, sad, hopeless etc. Is that not depressed?
  19. Of course I know that Mark, but my comment was referring to Spadetownboy's assertion that you don't have to be depressed to commit suicide. I would think that being very lonely leads to depression 'a disorder characterised by extreme gloom, feelings of inadequacy and inability to concentrate' ergo not cheery, happy and carefree. And does excitement make one feel like ending it all? Obviously there are many states of mind and many emotions but how many of these can be described as above and lead one to end one's life. Heartbreak maybe, but again does that not lead on, in its worst case, to what is termed depression? Depression is a state of mind - not an emotion.
  20. ok - got it to work. 67 yay!
  21. it's not really the sort of thing that cheery, happy, carefree people do though.....
  22. when I said single I meant travelling alone - not your marital status. Your post came across as sounding rather indignant that the man was travelling on a train with luggage and a child. I would think wearing a rucksack and standing with one's back to a wall would be preferable to trying to get it on and off and lift it up and down in a busy train, but I could be wrong.
  23. it says my address doesn't exist so I guess it's a zero.
  24. football is a load of old rubbish - it's a game for girls. (cue fantastic backlash, love being controversial).
