  2. those boyos are a bunch of pussies, the one person i wouldn,t like to get stuck in a lift with is heston. 2 people in the lift and when it finally gets opened, theres one left, however he,s surrounded by a scrumptous array of cold meats, pates etc, hmmmmmm.
  3. its a decent enough piece, but unfortunately the author of it is imho a bit of a knob, and creating a bit of controversy is par for the course for him. i,m still waiting for a reply to the e-mail i sent him several years ago, in response to his piece that despite all evidence to the contrary, he still tried to insinuate that lance armstrong, achieved his success by the use of illegal drugs.

Windom Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Saw Mesrine last night - highly recommend, proper > French gangster nutter make sure and see the second part, even better that the 1st. saw inglorious basterds the other night, pay no attention to the crap reviews, its a good old fashioned rollocking war story that needs to be watched for what it is, not as some critics would hope a remake or follow up to pulp fiction, which unfortunately will always be the mill-stone around tarantinos neck. and finally rewatched let the right one in last night, even better on second viewing. do yourself a favour and if you havn,t seen this wonderful film get it out, it combines the best attributes of the childhood innocence of cinema paradiso and pans labrynith with sporadic acts of violence, all the time overcast with the unbearable tension that she might do him at any time, and finally if possible for a vampire film a feel good ending that explains it all.
  7. so are you therefore proposing a school for the children born of "middle income professional families" in the ED area, because you don,t believe that throwing all children of all abilities in together works in all areas. you want a school that is right for ED, the people who live in ED and aimed at their childrens abilities. what in effect you are proposing is selective education for the choosen ones and the rest can in effect get stuffed. you make a very broad assumption that a) all families in ED fall into the middle income professional bracket, b)that the children of these families will be of a suitable educational standard to go to this proposed school. so for the bright children from the families in ED who don,t quite meet the level of the middle income professional bracket, where do they go, or are they suitable to attend by association. what about the children of the middle income families who don,t quite come up to standard, what happens to them, as according to your beliefs throwing children of all abilities in together dosent work in all areas, or are you of the belief that it will work in ED. while we all want the best for our children, what you are proposing is selfish, middle class elitism, that will in effect educate the children born of families, lucky enough to have parents earning enough to fall into your middle income bracket, and the rest can again get stuffed. your idea is flawed, ill thought through, and you need to go back to the drawing board and brush up on your homework.

  11. just back from domaine des ormes in brittany. went with eurocamp, but bucket loads of other operators and plenty of pitch sites as well. highly recommended site, 6 pools, out-door adventure park similar to go-ape, 18 hole golf course, paintball, 3-4 restaurants and several bars, pedalo/canoes, nice walks, and a small village with bars 10 mins walk away. i did a few trips to st-malo/dinard/dinan/mont st.michael and a german war cemetary, but the missus and kids never left the site, no need to, everything was there.
  12. british isles, great britain, uk, dont really bother me, what really pisses me off, is persons refering to norn iron as the north of ireland. its northern ireland, not the north of ireland, the wee 6, ulster. its northern ireland. ps, i kick with the left.
  13. i remember the edt being in two halves, with a connecting door between the two. the joint itself was as rough as sandpaper. still the comedy club upstairs was a beacon, still hold fond memories of the charity night for one of the local schools which ended up with malcolm hardie and two others on stage doing the balloon dance. very funny but not a pretty sight. as keef points out the video shop opposite the edt, owned by geoff which went bust probably follwing an ill-advised venture trying to turn the old casablanca into a bar/restaurant.
  14. i know what i,d like to do that fu(king anoying tw&t, and it involves shoving a bt home broadband hub up his crevice sideways.

Clearly I am not > from around here. :) i,m actually a soco(csi), and while i,m not a locksmith i do through my role know a fair bit about locks and keys. however i do know a lot more about how entry is gained to peoples homes and generally it is through lax security even when the person is in the house, eg front window left open, purse, keys, games console in view, homeowner nips into the kitchen to pop on the kettle, thief walks past and bang the property is gone, sounds incredulous but it happens and its very common. as is leaving keys in locked doors, occasionally front doors but generally back/side doors, a thief will always look for an easy access point and will look through windows to find them, and also make sure as much as possible the place is empty, but if there is a key in a door or window, they will smash it to gain access to the key, reach through and open the door, its very rare that a thief will climb through a smashed window, very easy to get cut and leave blood and consequently a dna hit. as i mentioned before most burglaries are opportunistic and again i dont want to sound partonising but simple measures such as locking windows and doors(even when in the house, removing keys from doors and placing them out of site ,not leaving valuables lying around in view, will be sufficent to prevent most people from becoming the next victim. police safer summer campaigns advocate such behaviour, why because it works.
