The entrance from Calton hasn’t been built yet Rockets so hold your horses before criticising that they’ve created any problem.

The bollards have been installed to protect the workers from dangerous drivers ignoring the road restriction signs, health & safety innit.

There are literally shovels in the ground, pedestrianising it yet some on here are calling for a referendum on whether it should exist. Time to admit defeat and move on?

The same photo with the offensive ‘All Streets Matter’ slogan was used in multiple Southwark News article. That’s hardly a gotcha moment Rockets, more a reflection of their lazy journalism.

Laughing at the thought the Southwark News send a reporter to take a photo of a handful of protestors. It’s much more likely they take their own photo, and Richard sends them a news piece.

Speaking of things that haven’t aged well, I notice the offensive ‘All Streets Matter’ slogan in the photo that made it into the latest Southwark News article from Richard Aldwinkle (aka Mr One Dulwich). Didn’t they issue an apology for that after it was pointed out to be very distasteful? You’d think Richard would supply a better photo.

Lots of outrage without finding out the facts. It's highly likely the bench is being stored there until it is moved to a different location - but let's jump immediately to 'council is bad'. 🙄

The cars parked there rarely change, reckon it’s business owners more than customers using the space. Agree it’s a huge shame the pavement widening wasn’t kept, it made for a much more pleasant experience as a pedestrian. Does anyone know why there are no parking restrictions outside these shops unlike the rest of Lordship Lane?

Hmmm…didn’t the (now defunct) Dulwich Alliance crowdfund almost £30k which was wasted / paid for expensive legal advice to achieve nothing?

Rockets this isn't an LTN thread.

Just as trees improve the feel of Lordship Lane, so would fewer parked cars and wider pavements.

The trees should be on build outs in the road wherever possible, not reducing space on the already narrow pavements.

Spoken like someone who has never sat at the front of a bus Spartacus. If you had you’d see they are persistently stuck behind parked cars, waiting for a space to move across to the other side of the road to get around them. Or stuck in traffic unable to use the bus lane due to parked cars. Completely agree with @Earl Aelfheah. It’s appalling that buses can’t use the Lordship Lane bus lane because parked cars are allowed for the majority of the day.

The Dulwich Estate’s notice in the window states the lease has been forfeited “as a result of illegal assignment / subletting.”

Recommended watching for everyone concerned by road danger.

Off topic, this thread is to complain about cyclists on the pavements is it not? 🙄
