There’s a bit on East Dulwich Grove, close to the junction with Townley Road. Should be a lot more though, worth emailing local councillors to suggest.

I wouldn’t believe anything this group says. The London Fire Brigade confirmed to Southwark News in April that they’d been consulted with. https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/dulwich/dulwich-village-ltn-row-erupts-as-emergency-vehicle-access-restricted/ Similarly regarding the police, sending an FOI request to a specific branch of the Met police who reply saying they’ve not been consulted isn’t the same as ‘the Met weren’t consulted’. Also, what evidence do they have to back up their claim that the council ‘pressured’ the ambulance service into accepting a bollard? The statement in Southwark News says the ambulance service recognised the need to balance their concerns with the protection of other vulnerable road users. It seems that One Dulwich are getting increasingly desperate with their conspiracy theories. If only their time and energies were channeled into something positive for the community.

There is some info on free bike maintenance courses funded by Southwark as part of Streets for People here https://www.southwark.gov.uk/transport-and-roads/sustainable-travel/cycling/working-together#:~:text=Through Streets for People Community,to plan a cycle journey.

Thanks for sharing -
Chris Boardman speaking about road danger is worth a watch.

Calton was particularly hideous. An ambulance wouldn’t have got anywhere fast.
-
Funny how some people don’t remember how awful it used to be
-
Agree Earl. Anyone who remembers how bad the congestion on Calton Ave and Court Lane used to be knows that this isn’t a route that emergency services would have been able to get anywhere quickly.
-
Richard Aldwinkle is always referred to as their spokesperson in press pieces. These are some of his distasteful tweets.
-
It’s been said before, but worth reminding everyone that a consultation is not a referendum. Cllr McAsh was clear to state that resident feedback would be one element considered when decision making - “Resident feedback is one part of it but then looking at all the evidence that we’re gathering as well. That is all important.”

They sound deranged and, in the interests of accuracy (something One Dulwich care little for) the Streatham LTN hasn’t been ‘scrapped’ or removed, it is suspended.

I saw it this morning, it's the C6 route for the Dulwich Foundation Coach service. Contact details - Contact - Foundation Schools' Coach Service (dulwich.org.uk)

No Rockets, that’s you trying to repeat your stuck record. Evaporation is evidenced by the fact the traffic levels are mostly still lower than pre-Covid levels. The more recent rise in traffic is due to the hours of the timed restrictions reducing which has induced demand. As traffic has increased, it follows that cycling has reduced.
-
The dashboard showed traffic on most roads was significantly lower than pre-covid. The recent trend (Jun 22 compared to Jun 23) showed some increases which reflects the change to the timed restriction hours (halved I think?). Reducing the timed restrictions has induced demand.

This thread on X/Twitter is a good summary of the positive permanent changes the council is proposing with their latest consultation

Thank-you for sharing @AylwardS. With so much anti-social & dangerous parking in Dulwich it is good news. “The number of people receiving penalty charges has increased by 50% over the last 12 years and we are concerned that the current penalty levels are not set high enough to act as a deterrent.”

Fire at a waste transfer station in Herne Hill, likely to be highly polluting. It’s a horrible smell, we’ve just shut all our windows.

Would love to see your evidence for those statements @Spartacus. The data shows a different story, as does my lived experience.

If anyone is thinking of donating it’s worth remembering the now defunct Dulwich Alliance’s efforts to seek a judicial review. Donations totalled £28,250 and it would seem all that happened was lawyer’s advised against pursuing legal action. -

Exactly. A consultation is not a referendum, nor is it a vote.

Surely you’re not also against school streets? @Rockets @heartblock
