  1. He bumbles from catastrophe to catastrophe, I've a feeling his days may begin to become numbered. The next question is, who would take over the rudder, is there anyone capable of leading the country and not repeating the safe mistakes. I suppose we also can consider that no one in our life time has dealt with anything as serious as Covid, so they are firefighting (to coin a phrase) day by day. As for Downing Street parties, if they are stupid enough to meet for a large gathering, Christmas party or not, be it on their own heads and they take the risk, If they want to take the chance of catching Covid, well, personally let them. I couldn't give a hoot, I've other things to deal with in my own life. They can lie, but in time as we are witnessing the lies surface and the liar gets called out. whether he faces any disciplinary action is hugely unlikely, he's the PM and what he says will go.
  2. I don't get why you keep on re-submitting this thread, so you have a new thread each time, and HOW are you able to delete an entire thread, it should not be possible. I've got to say this is beginning to grate start a thread and let it run, don't (and I don't know how you can delete a thread) as you aren't doing yourself any favours. You have raised your concerns, whether people agree with you or not. Admin - Please can you explain how this poster is able to delete an entire thread which they started????????????
  3. Can appreciate your concerns and frustrations, and in particular as you know Dulwich library are providing newspapers. Obviously you'd like access to newspapers, so if the library are not currently providing these) although you say they have been instructed to do so), continue raising your concerns with the Library Services at Council HQ, hassle your Councillor (they are their to help you with your grievances) and in the meantime perhaps take a ride up to Dulwich Library and peruse at your leisure.
  4. And my final track on a 12in is the 1977 B side release by Ashford and Simpson, Bourgie, Bourgie
  5. 1974, MFSB - Love is the Message (Extended Version)
  6. 1976 - Carl Davis and The Windy City Orchestra, Windy City Theme.
  7. Was in today, didn't see any greeters at the door, but tbh not a problem for me. Didn't see anyone cleaning trollies, baskets or checkouts either. Only saw this during second lockdown in Morrisons and that didn't last long there at the time. What was noticeable was that the deli counters have now been removed and replaced with a "humunges" chilled wine fridge, hot takeaway heated section and a general quick food section (sandwiches, crisps, drinks etc).
  8. Sock it to them soul brother - Bill Moss, circa 1969
  9. And as a special treat, take a listen to the blessed madonna from a couple of Saturdays ago on BBC 6 Music when she played an hour of Loleatta Holloway, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0011k4n
  10. Your second of two for two "going home for the weekend" tracks; On a 12in single, "You're the one for me" by D Train.
  11. So the weekend is just around the corner and here we go with another, and the first of two for two "going home for the weekend" tracks; "Everday" by Incognito Track two to follow later today.
  12. It's been reported that "bulb" energy has filed for Administration and will be run by the Government, see https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59373198 That's a shocker and for 1ts 1,700,000 customers, the largest energy supplier to fold to date, three times the size of Avro who had 580,000 customers and folded. Who's next to go, because at this rate it could be any of the other larger players in the market who may follow, Ouch.................................
  13. A really interesting video upload of Nunhead cemetery
  14. Going all the way back to 1977, here is the superb Paulette Reeves with "Jazz Freak" taken from the LP All about Love.
  15. Incognito - "Always There", featuring the haunting vocals of Jocelyn Brown.
  16. Glad someone else also listens to Dave Onetone (soulcentralradio.co.uk) on a Saturday and Sunday.
  17. So here we go with the second Bobby Womack track of the day, on a 7in, "Daylight" and going all the way back to 1975, 46 years ago when I was just 15, and many, many moons ago.

  19. There was a stand inside DKH Sainsbury's today.
  20. and all that carbon being sent into the atmosphere (that's what makes them go bang and make such bright colours in the sky), all during a climate emergency.

  22. thanks for that, looks as though the website needs updating.
  23. The web page states that the central London (Trafalgar Square) branch is closing down, but Each Dulwich and Battersea branches will remain open. See below. "Dear Natural wine lovers It is with a very heavy heart, but also a lot of happy memories, that we have taken the tough decision to close the doors at Terroirs Central, for good. It has been an amazing journey, and we have made so many friends along the way. We?d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 13 years?from our amazing team to our beautiful guests, we literally couldn?t have done it without you! For anyone panicking about charcuterie withdrawal, or a natural wine fix, rest assured that Terroirs East Dulwich and Soif (Battersea) will continue to trade as normal and the teams there, supplemented by some familiar faces from central, will look forward to welcoming you."
