I don?t think this is restricted to the ?right? in the US. I have the misfortune of working with a number of prominent supporters and members of the Tory party (you know the one who are going to be the next government) and all these things apply to many them in equal measure. Not all mind you. There are a few who are just delusional. Anyway I hear them discussing with glee how they will be able to slash NHS and education spending and launch plans to get rid of state pensions all with the ultimate outcome of handing more power and leverage over the people to the private sector.
  5. They?re both essentially one dimensional games for troglodytes. They can both however be good entertainment and quite fun to play. Soccer is however just a downright fucking embarrassment. The behaviour of people who watch it, the spirit in which it is played and the examples it sets are disgusting. This is not to say that bad and unsporting things don?t happen in rugby too but to a far lesser degree. When last did anything even vaguely sporting, which would set a good example for a youngster on how they should conduct themselves as a decent human being, happen in a professional soccer match? What do you think the chances of rival soccer fans sharing the stand again are? Ever? That in itself is enough to make any person with an even vaguely decent moral framework feel sceptical of the whole thing. It is in no uncertain terms a foul, national fucking embarrassment. I will still watch international games but I have no inclination to have anything to do with the slurry pit of professional club football.

Where did you hear that? Just interested as my wife is a midwife and what they are seeing at the moment is a shortage of midwives in the NHS. Colleges are however qualifying enough for requirements the problem is the NHS aren?t hiring them so many newly qualified midwives are having to change career due to not being able to find work while many hospitals (I may add Kings and London hospitals in general are apparently glowing exceptions) are understaffed.
  7. Well I for one can't handle it. First Katie and Peter and now this! This country's going to hell in a reusable, cloth shopping bag.
