  1. I also work only a few yards from Parliament square. The vibe I get when going past the protesters is more one of desperate helplessness than militancy. You get the feeling that they know nobody is going to do anything but they can?t just sit by and say nothing about it. Having said that the other day I did lose my temper with a group of lads who were in Tamil paramilitary getup with bandanas over their faces. They were being all cock sure and tried to walk me off the pavement so I pushed one of them into a barrier. But that was because they were behaving like arseholes not because I had a problem with them protesting.
  2. Can anyone please explain to me what anyone has to gain out of climate change being man made? To what end would thousands of scientists over the last 40 years just be making things up? The only way I can see that you could get the majority of the world?s scientific community to agree with something that is in fact not true or that there is no evidence of is if there was some ulterior motive. I can however see many quite obvious reasons why a lot of people would not want it to be so.
  3. Just because everyone is dishonest doesn't make it ok, it just makes it worse
  4. Just to reinforce the assertion that so much of what passes for humanity is in fact just a worthless waste of carbon and water that could be put to much better use than being a self-aware/obsessed organisms whose inability to think outside of the confines of their own colons deems their very existence a net detriment to the functional members of society.
  5. Colanders are very cutting edge at the moment. Bloody kids always get the drop on us adults when it comes to fashion. Here I?ve been spending most of the last two weeks in a sieve. I think perhaps it?s time for me to just give up and get myself some of those white trainers that are so popular with the polo playing community.
  6. ?tis beat. I was reading Tank Girl yesterday. Go figure.
  7. My apologies I was a bit strong there perhaps Ted. Pay no heed I wasn?t implying anything. P.s. I made it up.
  8. Yes I see what you mean, in no way shape or form does it try to humanise genocidal, colonial conquest by exploiting the innocent point of view of children.
  9. Hoopers.
  10. Here's one for the anticipation of escaping into the sun drenched weekend. Bursting out and forth for all that needs to scream and hate and floating contents itself on movement stretched from outstretched fingertip to outstretched fingertip as it flies into impossibility and screams a song of sinking teeth into bleeding sunlit warmth that fills my eyes and holds me close as freedom
  11. Mike this isn?t a personal pop at you but she?s right about the forum. It really and truly has gone down the crapper. I was having a conversation with someone about it this morning. There is precious little worth reading anymore. No proper debate, wit is sparse and at best just knob gags. Ok so there used to be knob gags but they had a certain asinine charm or at least elegant timing to them. The intellectual discourse between some very well informed contributors, clever banter and humorous jaunts into the surreal of 2 years ago seem to be a thing of the past. Every now and again something worthwhile crops up but it?s like trying to hear a decent conversation in an echoing barroom full of Stella swilling meat heads. I know I sound like a dick and have probably pissed off half of ED but it is true.

Lenk on the, scaring the fuck out of visitors thread: ?It's a good place to drink a pint of adequately-gassed lager without being disgusted or deflowered?
  16. I read somewhere that they have a new chef.
  17. Wind dried? Sound?s awfully time-consuming. I just open the tin halfway and let it drain into the sink. Although nothing says "class" on a menu better than some well prepared halogen lighting.
  18. I think if you get virgin they will do it and hook up your internet too. Best check though but I'm sure they did this for me a few years ago when they were still NTL.
  19. By now anyone with 5 minutes on their hands and a facebook account has figured out who you are too.
  20. Mockney Piers in ipho ne sprellng diarter
  21. It was back in the olden days Jeremy. About 2005 I think.
  22. Well I?ll tell you what. Back in my day the CPT was purple and the Magnolia was called the Magdala and was painted yellow. Hard to believe I know but back in those days people thought nothing of painting a pub yellow or purple. There was a dingy little bar full of oddly dressed people where that current bastion of our community, That Adventure Place now stands, people used to drink in one of the shops on Northcross Road and the Plough was called the Goose and Granite and was run by Delboy Trotter. Oh and you could get your tires changed at the Franklins shop.
  23. Oh for fucks sake Ted now I?m depressed. Exquisitely so but depressed nonetheless.
  24. Odd Spelling of Mike on Internet Forum
  25. Well I for one think it shows lazy reporting. I mean how could they have noticed that and not managed to report on, Three 176 Buses Arrive at the Same Time in the Camberwell Green Area or Coffee Spillage Causes Minor Fracas in Dog Kennel Hill Sainsbury?s?
