  1. I play shouty distortion pedals though cheap solid state amps and end songs wherever I so choose, sometimes mid verse. Oh and I apologise Honabelushi but there was no pun intended. I thought this thread was about our own geekish habits. Well I collect scales. That little beauty there is a Salter?s compressed spring for the mid 20th centaury, produced and calibrated for use by the Royal Mail.

    Man* Tasks

I?ve done all of those at some stage except for the set up an HD TV thingy as I have never owned an HD TV although I don?t foresee that as being too difficult. I am the man. I know. Thank you. Although you could have summarised all those points into, ?How big?s your knob??

  5. I suppose what will happen is, if Satrianni wins the case, he will get a cut of all the profits made from the song. Similar to what happened with The Verve/Rolling Stones and Fun Lovn? Criminals/Quentin Tarantino. Didn?t some band called Queens or summat also get sued for ripping off Vanilla Ice?
  6. Yep. I posted something about it here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,31883,198493#msg-198493 a while back.
  7. Don?t lie to yourself man. ;-)
  8. It wasn?t me ? Shaggy.
  9. A pal of mine?s band has a song called - I like beer more than girls. Which may or may not be appropriate but it is quite funny.
  10. I suppose the question is how much did the people who sold, buy the place for originally and how much the property they moved to cost/was reduced by.
  11. Don't worry at least you're good at soccer.
  12. Blister in the sun - Violent Femms.
  13. I used to love her ? Guns and Roses Or if you?re a lady the cover version: I used to love him ? L7
  14. Yes it all depends on what part of Dulwich you are in. For instance the life expectancy of someone in an Edwardian town house in the village is on average considerably more than that of someone on the track at East Dulwich Station. It is these sorts of social inequalities that we need to address.
  15. To quote David Mitchell in yesterday?s Observer, ??I'm against death. Although I suppose I haven't fully thought through the consequences if people didn't. [die]?
  16. I am a citizen of 2 countries neither of which are Britain. Does anyone want my job? 'Srubbish anyway.
  17. Never trust anyone who has strong political allegiances of any description. It belies an inability for independent thought. Date whoever you want. Just don?t trust them.

  19. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. On the plus side it is good to see the windies doing well because they are a team that really deserves success but has so many hassles with money and politics confounding their efforts. But magnanimity towards the opposition aside. All out for 51! 5 ducks! To score of 24! Beaten by an innings and 23 runs when you are one of the top 5 teams in the world.! Oh dear.
  20. I said this five thousand odd posts ago: Oh no, oh no, oh no. They haven't buggered the Clock House up have they?!?!?!?!? It used to be the best pub in East Dulwich although I have not had the chance to visit it in the last 8 months. 2 years ago I would go in for lunch at least twice a week for the steak and kidney pie which was quite litterally the best steak and kidney from a pub I have ever had. What have they done to it? What brewery is running it now? I used to be Youngs.
  21. Which is very important I'll have you know.
  22. It?s a bit like comparing a skateboard to a Rolls Royce. They are similar in the fact that they both have 4 wheels each and are used as a mode of transport but the comparison ends there. Before you ask, no I don?t know how many wheels Mozart had.
  23. Hmmm.... ever read over one of your own posts and think, ?What a conceited knob.??
  24. Where I grew up it was quite common for men to not be able to wear hats in pubs. Depending on where you were it could just as likely earn you a smack in the mouth as a request to leave. For the simple reason that it is actually bad manners for a man to wear a hat indoors. Although Adventure Bar is hardly a high class establishment and I would have thought it caters for the kind of clientele who are more than likely unaware of proper manners.
