  1. I agree with MM on most counts regarding Ken Livingston but I also have massive trepidation over Boris Johnson.
  2. lol. "misspilt youth"
  3. (6) oi! oi! oi! etc...
  4. Lush!
  5. Sin is just a matter of perspective.
  6. Is it also a Pre-Raphaelite beard? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/56/William_Holman_Hunt%2C_Self-Portrait.jpg
  7. Does ?user/network critical mass? mean nonsense, banter and controversy or users without significant stimulation from their careers?
  8. So an older rich guy gets divorced from a younger woman with questionable motives and a bitter legal battle ensues. Why is this worthy of mention in the media? Granted the guy is a rock ?n roll legend and a bit of an idiot but neither of these facts have anything to do with anything. Perhaps it would be relevant in a journal on divorce law. Meanwhile there are riots in Tibet, imminent war with Iran, continuing instability in Iraq and Afghanistan, The US are likely to destabilise Venezuela, Zanzibar has announced a coalition government, Zimbabwe is slipping further into chaos, South Africa is on the brink of infrastructure collapse after years of corruption and self-defeating reform policies, Kenya has decided that the way to contest an election is by civil war which is a policy they seem to have adopted from Somalia, China is becoming the worlds limited liability workhouse, The Balkans are looking iffy again, Russia is rearming and England have series deciding test match coming up in 2 days time.
  9. So in ten years time there will be fewer pubs and a higher population density. Hmmmm? Perhaps I should buy a pub.
  10. Heaven Biltong Tabasco Sauce on anything with melted cheese Avocado Course chicken liver pate on freshly baked bread. Hell Prawns Caviar Smoked Salmon This is all making me seriously hungry and it is still 1hr and 2 minutes until I can justifiably eat lunch,
  11. Hmmmm William Rose pork pie. Now I would buy that to chase down a pint of Guinness.
  12. that is Silent Bob's only speaking part in the whole View Askewniverse if I am not mistaken.
  13. I know I know. 'tis just my slightly warped, over active imagination.
  14. Best thing about Chasing Amy is Jason Lee?s character. The way he is just completely inappropriate and obnoxious and pisses all over the hung-up, straight laced relationship Ben Afleck (Holden I think he?s called) is trying to have with Alyssa. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was a beautifully moving love story. A bit like Bonnie and Clyde with an orangutan.
  15. Anyway Mallrats is on Dave tonight if you fancy some highbrow entertainment filled fart jokes and drug dealers/superheroes.
  16. It is open season on anthropomorphic children?s entertainers it seems. It is those hedonistic lifestyles they choose to live. Why only last week the cover of heat had a picture of Jemima Puddle-Duck, corsets half open, stumbling out of the Barbican Theatre in the arms of that bear off of Bo?selecta
  17. Now now this is a respectable get together.
  18. I?m still picturing bagpuss with her cheeks bulging hamster-like with a mouth full of pills.
  19. Careful there. Folks may think you're talking about the EDF drinks.
  20. Somewhere once-upon-a-time in the corridors of power (or probably a meeting room or office of power that was no doubt located just off one of the corridors) some folks decided, ?Hey instead of building more housing where people have enough personal space to be afforded some semblance of human dignity, why don?t we just let them split their already inadequate houses into flats thereby doubling the population density.? Great fucking idea that was eh. Sorry ontheedge that wasn?t very helpful for your situation was it. :-S I really don?t know what you can do other than try to get them to lay a better carpet.

Are you 'aving a laugh? Is 'e 'avnig an laugh?
  22. Jah this is the first time someone has mentioned university and you have said something other than ?Bloody students!? ;-) Tillie if I remember back to my student days (don?t laugh ?twas only 10 year ago you know) I was constantly so excited about experiencing new things and the world as a ?real? place opening up for me that I never had any time to be worried or scared. You just need to be there to listen to the stories and notice how the perspective and intellectual interpretation changes over the next few years. Well that and wire a bit of money through at the end of the month every now and then.
  23. It is unfortunately true. As a (fairly) regular at the Plough I don?t often bother eating there anymore as the food is generally disappointing. It doesn?t stop me from going there for a drink or six though.
  24. I've just read the Daily Mash article: QUEEN UNABLE TO FIND OFFICIAL OPENING AREA AT TERMINAL FIVE and had to share it with the office as I was laughing out loud.
