  1. Nice to see everyone again and meet a few new people. It was a good venue too. I think I may be popping my head around their door again sometime. I left at about 12:30 without saying my farewells. Not because I?m rude you understand but because a previous attempt at leaving had inexplicably ended up with me being, very kindly, bought another pint. Thanks Raj and Georgia.:)-D After that I was feeling just a little unstable. So in a brief and rare moment of almost adult-like responsibility I hopped it before the voice in my head could convince me that switching to spirits would be a good idea.
  2. I don?t know if anybody has noticed but there are Too many Foxton minis in the parking lot. (Lounged) ones at that.
  3. Seen as we seem to be doing favourite this and that at the moment. Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke - Richard Dadd
  4. Making Money. Is that a new one Ant?
  5. Nope can't say I have Sean. I am reading The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fford at the moment. A friend recommended the author to me and I must say he is very entertaining. Completely barking but very entertaining.
  6. other famous people seen at east dulwich sainsburys can often be spotted gossiping in the Starbucks.
  7. I know what you mean. When I was growing up we would go to the service at the MOTH chapel with the veterans who would sing the hymns and play the last post etc. It was very moving. It is probably one of the things that has made me grow up to be of the opinion that remembrance day should be a reminder to us that war should be avoided at all costs.
  8. I saw ?Is East Dulwich Getting Too Posh?? kicking off at the checkout over the price of organic eggs.
  9. (tu) Although I think you are talking about Appetite for Destruction and have posted the cover for God Shuffled His Feet.
  10. As someone who has only been living the UK for 6 years I have found my NHS dentist to be very good indeed. GPs are another story though but I get the feeling that they are so bogged down by NHS rules and procedure that they can?t be the proper doctors they would like to be.
  11. They have Ardbeg at the Plough. When it comes to peaty island malts I quite like Bowmore. It is a bit lighter and easy drinking but then I'm a bit of a lightweight I 'spose.
  12. Cool you did it! I thought of that a while ago when I saw a video of him coming out of a club with a bottle of something and sloshing it all over the camera man and himself.
  13. Ah yes. A tonic from Scotland will do the trick I'm sure. It does taste like medicine to some people.
  14. Hey all! I?ve been stricken with the flu for the last 3 days and thinking that I shouldn?t go out and get all silly bugger drunk, like at the last forum drinks. (which were a blast by the way!) Although I have been indoors pretty much all the time for the last 3 days and cabin fever is starting to set in so a little stroll down to the FHT may be therapeutic. And perhaps just a small, medicinal beer to stave off the winter cold?.
  15. Slosh?
  16. Can?t be helped MP. I like to think I?m an honest guy and you should read some of the twaddle I produce sometimes. A friend of mine audits the circulation figures for papers and I?ve watched him pull his hair out over the last year trying to deal with the explosion of unmonitorable (is that a word) free papers.
  17. citizenED Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Plough End of LL is surely Southsides ED. It just wouldn?t work because then when you head North up Lordship Lane from the Southsides you would be walking downhill, which isn?t right?? surely?
  18. I do think that using ?London Lite? and ?press? in the same statement is a bit of a long shot.
  19. Good idea as I think calling it "Brendan's Gaff" may be a bit too locally specific.
  20. Well there are a few definitions but I think it is best summed up as, when an American attempts sarcasm.
  21. Edmund: So! If I have 2 beans and I add another 2 beans what do I have? Baldrick: A very small casserole.
  22. I've bought 8 lottery tickets in my time and I once won a tenner so I?m 2 quid up!
  23. Drugs are neat You can buy ?em relatively cheap And when you do ?em people think that you?re cool

    Small world

There?s a girl who works in our HR department whose older brother was my best mate?s roommate at university back in South Africa some 11 years ago now. She recognised my name and sent me an e-mail asking if I was the Brendan she though I was. I confirmed and it turned out that she knows all this stuff about me like who I went out with, where I used to go out, what car I drove etc. I?m not sure whether to be flattered or freaked out.
