  1. I got the map from this page (which appears to not have been updated since 2004) www.dawsonshill.org.uk I also found this pretty interesting http://www.dulwichsociety.org.uk/newsletter/200603-24-26.shtml from an old Dulwich Society newsletter.
  2. Yeah I like the odd scruffy old shop like the exterior of the battered old bookshop has loads of character. Although I do prefer places that sell food to have a bit more of a scrubbed up sterile look. White stuff looks a bit ?90s to me. Like I imagine the EDT looked just after its last paint job.
  3. I'm sure they have something on tap that is Weiss something or other.
  4. Seen this? http://www.dawsonshill.org.uk/dawsonshilltrustnaturetrail.htm It fails to mention the dirty great flat blocks bang in the middle of it.
  5. You will be hard pressed to find any place that isn?t tainted by tragedy. I?m sure many a life has ended before its time out on lordship lane where we all stroll on a daily basis. As for the dead, let them rest and judge not.
  6. I nearly got arrested in Paris for that.
  7. Charlie, white stuff. Hoxwich... hmmm

Get your own thread.:)) Sorry guys but we are taking the same view that the media has on the cricket thing. It is clearly not important enough to warrant its own thread but is just squeezed in periodically in between football commentary. ;-)

I used to have a W123 (a 1981 electric blue 200). I loved that car! I remember taking it on the open road from Johannesburg to Cape Town a few years ago as one of the most amazing driving experiences I have ever had.
  10. I have often thought that the view must be amazing from the flats on the top floor.
  11. Fair enough Sean. I actually really enjoy football and play a bit but as I don?t support anyone specific I never see the point in watching it.
  12. Apart from the fact that he thinks it makes him ?hard? I seriously doubt that the kid would have ever been taught how to use a gun properly. Just lucky he didn?t accidentally kill someone or himself. My mate was working at the betting shop across from the uplands a couple of months ago when they got held up in there at gunpoint.
  13. here here!
  14. Ollivander?s exploits labour in the 3rd dimension to produce their wands I?m afraid.
  15. I hope it goes well. I am going to have to give it a miss as I am going to be at this beer fest at Earls Court all day and don?t think it would be very edifying to rock up perilously arsed on ale, slurring and sloshing my pint on everyone. I will be at the next one though or the birthday one, whichever comes first.
  16. Do we have umpires and a scorer? Are we going to arrange a net session?
  17. There would be the following shops on LL if I had my way: ? A good barbers. Where you can get a high quality professional haircut from a properly qualified barber for ?10, a shave for an extra fiver and read magazines in comfortable armchairs while you wait. ? A shop that stocks the various real-ales and ciders that these islands produce (and choice imports) with staff knowledgeable of their histories and production techniques. ? Tobacconists of similar ilk run by and old Chinese guy with a long white beard who also makes and sells his own fireworks and periodically blows up the laboratory behind the shop with his experiments. ? A guitar shop that restores old guitars. Run by a bad tempered but brilliant luthier and his attractive, young and musically talented female assistant. ? A garage that restores classic cars. ? 24hr pizzeria ? A place to have breakfast that is somewhere in-between a kaf and a caf? (where you can get a fry-up and a smoothie) run by big-bosomed, motherly ladies with dirty aprons who call everyone luv. ? A confectioner who bakes fresh muffins and scones every morning and does cakes to order and always smells of gingerbread. And there are many more.
  18. Ahhh. Methinks some editing is in order.
  19. I?m going here http://www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=195496 on Friday. I intend to get to the bottom of the issue there.
  20. I have a whole list of places I would like but the forum will not let me post them for some reason. I'm pretty sure I've not written anything obscene. :-S
  21. My ideal Lordship Lane. Firstly I would pedestrianise the road from Goose Green roundabout to the Library with a free tram or trolley-bus that shuttled up and down 24hrs a day and a lane for skatesboards, bikes etc. People would also be encouraged to wear those shoes with the little wheels in the heels that kids scoot around on and old folks in runnabouts will be encourage to pimp them with flames down the side etc.
  22. The first one after work on a Friday.
  23. When I was a bachelor I would shop at Iceland all the time. Cheapest prices on larger and Tabasco sauce and good frozen pizza. Exactly what a young man needs for dinner every evening.
  24. Oh blah blah blah? I reserve judgment. I will pop in at some time. If there is anything I like I will buy it. If not I will not.
