  1. Never mind. Whiling away a Saturday afternoon in the CPT drinking brown beer with a test match on the telly is about as un-American sportsbarish as you can get.
  2. This makes me so angry! When I hear about people abusing kids it makes me want to get hold of the bugger and start punching until his screams give way to gurgles, and then silence. This would probably get me done for assault and I would have to go and talk to a psychologist about my unresolved anger issues. Just because I want my kids to be able to play out and annoy the neighbours like I did. I don?t suppose anyone has heard if the police have followed this up?
  3. I also blame America for everything but that's a completely different matter.
  4. The car-park is packed With mothers and brats
  5. Got the posh seats hey. Jammy bugger!
  6. It's a propper boozer. That's why I like it. Loads of character and the bar staff remain friendly no matter how obscure my drunken rambling becomes.
  7. Bloody hell! So global warming is going to make it colder! :-S
  8. Yah Yah. That's the one.
  9. I'm going to the 2020 at the oval tomorrow as well. :)) It is officially my department Christmas Party for last year. There are only 2 of us and instead on using our allotted budget on an uncomfortable man date we decided to buy cricket tickets with it and save the rest for beer. Weather better be good! The BBC however is not being encouraging about it. :'(
  10. Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! I think we all played that one. Always drew a good crowd. Seemed to be banned at my school though and caused some consternation amongst the teachers. In running red rover you chanted "running red rover" etc. What did you chant when you called it British Bulldog? We used both names but I can't remember if there was an alternative chant.
  11. pah.. I went to Forest Hill Sainsburys last night and got free bog-roll.
  12. There is a Goose Green somewhere on the Falklands. It had something to do with the recent comemoration of the war. Wonder if it has any connection to ED?
  13. You know I?m not into hippy *%&?? but my fianc? is a midwife who is on call most of the time and I can vouch for the fact that when there is a full moon pregnant ladies start popping like a karaoke diva?s dreams in the face of Simon Cowel?s stare.
  14. We had one called ?King Stingers? which involved throwing a (sometimes cricket/ sometimes tennis) ball at each other. You would start with one person ?on? who had to try to hit the other players with the ball. As they were hit they would join his team. Until there was just one poor bugger running around with a whole playground full of kids trying to hit him with the ball (that was what you got for winning). It was great fun! I went to school in South Africa. Did you have the same game in Blighty?
  15. Where is this "North of the River" place you talk of? Somewhere in Penge? Anyway the main drag area of LL is always a good area to stick around when you got guest as you can just pop your head in to the various establishments 'till you find one to suit your vibe. What I found out recently is that the Palmeston is actually quite a good place for a good boozing session after the dinner time rush is over and it stays open til about 1 I think. Good if you want good atmosphere but don?t want the crowds of the EDT, Bishop or in72.
  16. Yeah. You see when we had a super continent all the polar icecaps were displacing water and therefore sea levels were higher and there was a beach in Penge.
  17. Pah, global warming. Sissy stuff. Continental drift now there?s something earth changing.
  18. The land mass of antartica is massive! 280,000 km?.
  19. The sun doesn?t like tennis and therefore always buggers off for the first week of Wimbledon.
  20. err herm.:-S MP the Mrs has some very specific ideas about what I do with my pennies.
  21. Smashing CWLD you must pronounce crass with a long ?A? just like I do. ;-)
  22. I accept no responsibility
  23. Well pee tit and boggio to you to Simon. >:D
  24. Hey I would love to come along and put some faces to names. Unfortunately I have a pressing appointment with a beach in Turkey on that date. Is there going to be another one sometime soon?
