  1. Poundland might well survive there. Sounds like a death knell for the CooP to me though. Maybe Waitrose will fill that void.
  2. Yes the Nimbys of Dulwich Village had it removed as an eyesore.
  3. Maybe not for you but they have lots of demand for swimming classes from very young children and from elderly people, for whom cold water is more dangerous.
  4. Shows nothing of the sort, letford: "traffic flow at the boundaries increased by 1.3%"
  5. Evangelical cyclists with no friends and no social awareness do far more to put people off cycling than cars do.
  6. The council make money back on collecting the trees by composting them or not having to buy wood chips. It's profitable for them to take them hence no charge.
  7. No doubt all of this sort of thing will stop this year as a result of the Labour Mayor's 10% tax hikes.
  8. It's been more than two years since this debacle started though Ex Dulwicher. I'm not sure why people like you and Malumbu who dont even live here are still so invested in pretending this has been successful though. (if we just wait a bit longer)
  9. The High Street in Forest Hill is also known as the South Circular. East Dulwich is a great place to live with a young family. You and your kids will make lots of very good supportive friends here.
  10. Good find Rockets. What a damning indictment that is of traffic management across London. "[for] the second year in a row, [London] topped the Traffic Scorecard with drivers losing 156 hours sitting in congestion, five percent above pre-pandemic delays. "
  11. To say that mothers are in need of special access more than say fathers, or non binary parents, woukd be is also incredibly insulting and discriminatory against women who have had children.
  12. Was Helen Hayes, a planning consultant, still a Councillor when Southwark granted planning permission to convert the old ED sorting office into luxury flats?
  13. They probably are being stolen to order and shipped out, as it goes. Since they are no longer made they are a rare and dwindling commodity and money talks.
  14. The article might be a year old, Nigello, but it describes a situation that has been ongoing for over a decade.
  15. There was another shooting in Camberwell on 28th December too. Crime seems to be completely out of control in London recently.
  16. It's not a couple of people on holiday for a few days. It's deliberate managed decline, over a long period of time, that Southwark have chosen to impose. https://southwarknews.co.uk/news/politics/southwark-council-criticised-for-huge-cuts-to-street-cleaning-budget-since-coming-to-power/
  17. It's a race to the bottom with this council. The street cleaners that used to empty them seem to have disappeared too.
  18. Wish you all a merry Christmas!
  19. Looks like their Christmas hours are on here... https://stores.sainsburys.co.uk/0054/dulwich
  20. The money they squandered here could have paid for that van. https://southwarknews.co.uk/featured/whats-happened-to-the-reopen-peckham-lido-campaign/ What kind of people are these throwing away tax payers money on stupid white elephants like this FFS?
  21. Looks like there will be about 15 metres of new double yellows at the juntion of Calton and Townley too. That will ease congestion in the area at school pick up time.
  22. do people no longer grow up with honest parents to explain this? they have to rely on a sign?
  23. Thanks BB, found it!
  24. Hi does anyone know where the rail replacement buses stop for east dulwich Station going to London Bridge please? Many thanks
  25. My guess on that is that it's a desperate attempt to reduce vehicular access to Croxted Rd to counter the TfL report
