  1. "they have a unaliable right over who is allowed on their premises." That's only true to a certain extent, and other businesses have been sued successfully for discriminating against customers on spurious grounds such as racism and homophobia. If it's really true that the council were phoning round pubs about this that makes it a much more difficult decision because the council control the grant of their licence too.
  2. Goldilocks is obviously quite scared that the Lib Dems are going to trounce Labour in Goose Green. I sincerely hope that they do.
  3. And they are clearly passionate about their local area - you can see that from their website.
  4. Yes I have had a leaflet from the Lib Dems as it goes. It arrived when I was out so I don't know if they were also canvassing.
  5. Not sure why you would think that when they are longstanding local residents. https://www.southwark-libdems.org.uk/goose_green_candidates
  6. Hello James Quick question as it is not clear from your election materials. Is a vote for Labour next week a vote for more closed roads in East Dulwich?
  7. You would think Labour would be proud of the enormous success they claim to have achieved with the LTNs and should be shouting it from the roadside. Strange they aren't eh?
  8. That young lady is clearly very bright and very empathetic and a good person. If I ran a pub I would have been proud to host her and her family.
  9. Maybe but the EDT, the Bishop, the Palmerston and the Actress were all open as normal.
  10. Lots of other pubs were open as normal that day though.
  11. My post has all been prompt and the posties are all very nice too!
  12. goldilocks Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > EDG South - This is the section from Townley Road > across to RedPost Hill - latest data shows a 4.8% > increase here. What excuse have you got for this part?
  13. I just put all this stuff in the green bin these days. Costs me 12.50 environment tax to drive to a recycling point so I don't bother and just send it to landfill
  14. "more congestion and higher speeds" just confirms the abject failure of this so-called "Low Traffic" neighbourhood.
  15. Even if evaporation does happen in some LTNs the councils data shows that it has jot happened in Lordship Lane and East Dulwich Grove (East). Those areas now have worse traffic than we had before Covid. There is onyy one explanation for that.
  16. Dogs should be banned from this park altogether. Let them have Goose Green which has already been turned into a giant dog toilet by selfish owners and keep the rest of our parks clean and safe.
  17. Youngs don't operate like that though smooch. Their pubs are managed freeholds. They don't have tenanted pubs
  18. That Southwark data shows that in Goose Green ward the traffic has gone up massively. Its above pre covid levels here whereas everywhere else in London it is still down. We warned time and again that LTNs displaced traffic and that it would be this side of Dulwich that would suffer it. And the council data now proves those predictions right. Remember when Mcash said if the LTNs don't work for everyone they would be removed? And now the data shows they only work for people West of Goose Green what has he done for his own constituents? Nothing at all.
  19. I think that Young's actually do have the resources that Wetherspoons have. They are worth over half a billion pounds on the stock exchange and own quote a lot of pubs beyond the cherry tree.
  20. Please also bear this in mind... https://fullfact.org/economy/labour-election-leaflets-2620-cost-of-living/
  21. You?re right Brideshead, Pret A Manger did not exist until Boris became PM. Same goes for every other business that isn?t a hair shirt shop owned by one family for the last five thousand years.
  22. You are asking people to commit an immigration fraud.
  23. Heh, yes that's true.
  24. You might have to concede that the LTNs are here to stay and then think about how to send a message to all would be councillors that ignoring your electorate after extensive consultation is unacceptable
  25. It's amazing how quickly the council can react three weeks out from an election.
