It took the Tories 14 years to dig that 20bn blackhole. It's taken Labour 14 months to double it. You cant get rid of Reeves though because the next person will actually be totally incompetent. There are no MPs in Labour capable of performing better than the current shower.

Thanks P. That sounds like a bargain compared to other horror stories I've heard!

Yes I advocate and lobby in the real world for libertarian measures regarding car ownership and road dues for motorists. do you lobby in the real world for your preferred CpZs and LTNs or do you only do so in this forum?
-
The only fair conclusion is that they have found another 40 old LTNs that bolster the numbers and support keeping the new LTNs.
-
Earl A, you lobby very hard on here for active travel measures. Are you saying that you only do that on the EDf and never in real life?

I think it’s going in to the nearly finished shop refurbishment next to the tandoori. Not open yet.

That scaffolding seems like good value. Was it up for long and did it just go up to line of the gutters.?

Does he turn up to meeetings at Tooley Street? is he claiming his full allowances too?

The gap between brick house and Gail’s was exacerbated by COVID.

It’s irrelevant to compare Corbyns vote to Starmers. They were two different elections with two different turnouts. The only relevant comparisons for Corbyn are how many people voted for Theresa May and Boris Johnson. A lot more in both instances. As such there would be nothing fair about him winning.

He seemed to me to be fully immersed in the Jeremy Corbyn ethos of the Labour Party. I dint think that (and self describing as a Marxist) would have helped much when Labour was changed under Starmer. There was a purge of people as far left as him that he was lucky to survive once in my opinion. Stuff like this heavy endorsement of Momentum and Corbyn. It doesn't wash with a party that is in actual government. https://labourlist.org/2020/04/forward-momentum-weve-launched-to-change-it-from-the-bottom-up/

That petition is bananas. If you want a youth centre there pay the landlord the same rent a Londis would and build it yourself or shut the f**k up to be honest. Wasting our MPs time with this trivial nonsense is appalling. If your kids are still out at 1am on a school night you've got bigger problems than vapes and booze and hot sausage rolls.

There used to be a better baker than Gail's on the same site immediately before Gail's pulled their financial muscle.

They are all so utterly childish.

I do like Chacarero. Lovely people as well as delicious foods (especially the chimichurri).

When you look back at Rye Lane on streetview the oldest images date back to 2008 mostly and to 2012 in parts. There was no graffiti or closed down shops at all then. It looks like a pleasant, clean and thriving high street, and the arcade around the station looks much better. What has happened to it in the last 20 years? https://maps.app.goo.gl/mfaUkdzG4qZVYxFMA And the state of it most recently https://maps.app.goo.gl/ecVHvh6UwsoBt1uu6

Any chance that he will now be prevented from further meddling with our car parking?

Are you sure? A lot of dog owners seem to be. They can't even remember to pick up their own dogs s**te off the floor.

A well drafted FOI request could answer some of these questions.

Anyone using any of this stuff? It all looks quite expensive. -
I think it's a wonderful way to write up a very dull story about a bunch of non entities tbf.

Yes, the cabinet leader has to be an elected councillor. Losing your council seat means losing the leadership (but Southwark often doles out a massive loss of office payment so it's not all bad news).
