  1. All I will add to this debate is that trans rights are human rights and that certain people who are discussing trans people as if they're not here are no different to the bigoted homophobes of the 70s and 80s.
  2. HSBC Peckham will close on Tuesday 2nd August 2022 as part of the latest round of cuts to branches. The nearest HSBC branches will be in Brixton, Lewisham or London Bridge.
  3. What I would say about smart tv apps is while they'll go obsolete before the tv breaks, you can easily get a streaming stick from Amazon or Roku which will keep on providing those catch-up services which saves you chucking out a perfectly good tv set. Most manufacturers seem to be going for two types of sets. The first are the budget sets which are HD ready which will have a Freeview HD tuner, but if you use anything for HD, it'll be only good for up to 720p, so if you stream a 1080p HD movie or have a Blu-ray player, it'll be downscaled. The other sets are now 4K/HDR which is fine for Full HD and 4K resolutions. While my last tv set was purchased from Argos in 2019, I'd go for the Richer Sounds Tooley Street recommendation where you can book a tv demonstration if you really feel that will help you choose a decent set for a bargain price.

From what I can see, the Southwark Lib Dems have looked at each one individually, for example they supported the Borough LTN, but they've seen the Dulwich LTN not fit for purpose.
  5. Sadly the Grove Tavern junction is managed by TfL who have their own budgeting issues, but hopefully once they get a longer term deal with the Department for Transport, that junction can be sorted out. As for the proposed zebra crossing at the Court Lane junction, I wonder if they'd then remove the traffic island by Upland Road as that will be well used by residents who live in Upland, Friern and Mount Adon Park to access Court Lane and the park than the present island. But as mentioned, there is a crossing at the junction of Overhill and LL along with the traffic island, so it does seem a bit OTT to add that in addition unless they remove the existing traffic island.
  6. I've seen a leaflet from the Tory Dulwich Village candidates who pledge to have a "community bus service", which I'm not sure how it'll be funded either from Southwark taxpayers or will they talk to TfL to re-route the P4? The axing of the LTN features alongside reversing parking charges in Dulwich Park and adding EV charging points?
  7. Southwark Labour Cllrs really rubbing salt into the wounds on Sunday.
  8. I really hope this whole affair is exposed in Private Eye's Rotten Boroughs.
  9. After pages of allegations against a pro-LTN group, the best their bots can come up with is the last two posts.
  10. London Fire Brigade are reporting four fire engines and 25 firefighters are on the scene of a fire on Overhill Road. No confirmation that it's on Dawson's Heights or not.
  11. This is what the DV councillors have been allowed to dish out.

  13. Well the council achieved something, splitting Dulwich down the middle as this thread clearly shows.
  14. You could have had a look at a paper in M&S next door.
  15. first mate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Daring to question or disagree is now 'promoting > anti-southwark hysteria'. Goodness! Indeed, the resentment towards the current Southwark administration is down to the governing Labour council who have introduced schemes that don't work based on ideology. It won't help if Labour return to power in May with Corbynite Cllrs who are replacing those who are leaving.
  16. People drink outside the EDT every summer despite it being on a busy roundabout, which is now even busier thanks to the LTN. Labour Southwark, for the few, not the many.
  17. Or they could simply reopen that road and help existing local businesses.

All of South Southwark's surgeries are part of a federation called Improving Health Ltd, through this they were able to offer Covid 19 vaccines at TJC for example and can refer patients to other surgeries for help if they offer a specific service. The individual surgeries are either independently owned, such as 306 Medical Centre and Lordship Lane Surgery or owned by other companies such as Omnes Healthcare who run the TJC surgery.

I'd check the practice boundary first as like The Gardens, it's shrunk. https://www.tessajowellgpsurgery.co.uk/patient-info/practice-boundary/

I used to use a ad funded bus times app, but switched to TfL Go due to the accuracy and the fact you don't have to wait 60 seconds for the times to update, it's fully live.
  22. Lordship Lane Surgery and DMC are no surprise really. LL has a too wide catchment area while DMC has too many patients.

It?s getting very challenging They also had a new dispensing software system installed at the latter half of last year. It's lead to issues where they've found it harder to retrieve patient prescriptions, so it's more than likely that they haven't been able to prepare prescriptions for collection, so when you actually turn up, you have to wait for them to dispense your meds.
  24. I've always popped mail into other people's places that's been sent to me by mistake. Usually it's only a few doors down, although I've had to go to Melford Road a couple of times.

She's finally seen the light and now picks up her medication from Sadlers.
