  1. Another load of post today delivered in one go, to their credit, the tracked Covid testing kit I ordered on Thursday arrived at lunchtime. However, Amazon who are usually great at delivering themselves to ED in their wise wisdom have decided to use Royal Mail tracked 48 for my Subscribe and Save orders which are due on Monday.
  2. I've finally got a week's worth of post today.
  3. I've had nothing for over a week now, when I know there's post I'm expecting from last week.
  4. You can also use the Post Office counter to withdraw money as well.
  5. He should have gone to Guys where there is a proper walk-in open daily.
  6. I'm another one who would have preferred to have kept the extended pavement at the expense of a bus stop that is very close to the one outside the post office.
  7. Personally I use the Forest Hill option where 2 trains per hour go direct to East Croydon or use the Overground to West Croydon and then use the tram to East Croydon over the 197. I normally use the 197 to get to Penge and that's a drag in itself and would only contemplate using the 197 during early mornings or late nights to and from Croydon.
  8. Looking at the masts for Nunhead on the coverage checker map, it seems that whole area is/was served by one mast, while my end of LL has masts at Dulwich Library, the Underhill Road junction with LL and one on Dulwich Common, so it's no surprise that O2 is so poor.

One of the positives of the closure is that buses have been more reliable using Consort/Copeland Road than using Rye Lane and most passengers have figured out the alternative bus stops. I'd also debate that with Peckham Rye not being a step-free station that those with mobility disabilities aren't going to use the station in the first place and travel to Peckham on buses.
  11. I'd be in favour of bus stops being put on the diversion route, one on Copeland Road at the junction of Bournemouth Road, which would give closer access to Peckham Rye station and another on Consort Road by Peckham Bus Garage for buses heading towards Dulwich.

    GB News

I don't think this channel is targeting a largely liberal and socialist audience in ED, it seems to be for hardline Brexiteers who live in areas of the country underserved by mainstream news outlets who want an echo chamber diet of conservative news and anti vaxxer material.
  13. The tactics of Clean Air Dulwich seem to have more in common with hard-left socialism. The exposing of an anti-LTN supporter's drive because they had the audacity to own a car says it all. The anti LTN group from what I understand is to have sensible measures put in such as timed restrictions instead of the permanent closures which have turned some of the most affluent parts of SE21 into carless utopias while Lordship Lane, East Dulwich Road and Croxted Road are full of traffic.

  15. According to UK Power Networks, power was restored at 23.34. My friend on Underhill Road said she was back on at 11.30.
  16. According to UK Power Networks, there are three power cuts in Dulwich tonight. All are expected to be reconnected between midnight and 1am.

  18. Wood Vale borders Southwark and Lewisham, so it may have been either Southwark or Lewisham Met who dealt with the incident.
  19. If anything, the new Dulwich and Sydenham seat will continue to be a safe Labour seat. Question is will we continue to have Helen Hayes or Ellie Reeves as our local represenative?
  20. I had my second jab of AZ from the Tessa Jowell Centre on Thursday. First day was a dead arm, second day tiredness, but perfectly fine now in comparison to the first jab side effects.
  21. Post has been on time this week surprisingly!

Pre-Covid I'd get on the train up to Canada Water and use that library instead, it's a wonderful resource and clearly the flagship library.

  24. I had AZ on Friday. Initially I started to feel warm with a sore arm, which then turned from going from chills to feeling hot and didn't sleep on Friday night into Saturday. Saturday (Day 2) was the worst with classic mild flu symptoms and all I could do was rest. Sunday started off much like Saturday with continual achy legs, although I no longer felt hot and generally zonked out, but improved by the evening. Today I still felt zonked out, but with the added bonus of hallucinating first thing this morning, I still felt zonked out throughout the day although tonight I feel the most alert since before taking the vaccine.
