  2. Here are some things made in the wee quinnie household. I am in no way smug about this - as everything involved a bit of bodging together and is in some degree not how the pattern (if there was one) dictated. Look at my threads sticking out! So lets see some of your handiwork peeps - the more ramshackle/homespun the better. PS More to follow

  4. I agree with Bookworm best to learn person to person - Mr WQ and myself spent 6 months in Spain and to prepare did Michel Thomas Spanish, which was all fine and dandy, but we found we could not understand A WORD in Estepona - although we seemed to get by speaking it.
  5. Why don't you post pics on 'ere and see if anyone wants to buy? Or are you trying to get rid of a moutain?
  6. "Entheney, EN-sa me!", Carmela Soprano screeches this through her nose at pleasingly regular intervals.
  7. Horniman Gardens.
  8. Is this the first non-surreal thread started by Azul? Puzzling! Perhaps the normalness is a way to confound expectations. Ha! Good work, Azul.
  9. Hey! I have only just found this thread, and am STAGGERED AND AMAZED that no one mentioned my fave thread of last year which was the one about dogging (which ended up in the South London Press).>:D< Sorry to resurrect this, but I have been a member of the forum for about 9 months, and have only just passed the 300 posts mark. Pathetic, I know!!
  10. I'm with Annaj. When I posted this before: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,83798,84023#msg-84023 Sean posted me a wee clip off youtube to try and persuade me. I was unmoved I'm afraid. PS - Bleurgh!

Where are my bargains ? Blinkin' 'enry. I didn't know about the cheap pizzas on a Tues in the Magdala - I may well venture forth, if I can bear to brave the wintery climes.
  12. Azul - this is all a bit Samuel Beckett-ish for me. Was this just an online beard? If no one saw it (I note the lack of photographic evidence), did it really exist? Hmmmm?
  13. I have just checked the calendar, and hope to be able to make the drinks for the first time ever. Yayyyy!
  14. PGC and Annaj - it was superlovely to meet you. Moos - sorry you missed out!

Cassius - 2hd would be OK - although I am not totally enamoured of the idea of trudging around West London to be honest. It is just toooooo far. Even if I go up to Oxford St., I always think "Why did I come here? I wish I was at home, under the duvet listening to Radio 4!" OMG! It's midday - i have to start this essay now. ****!
  16. Peckhamgatecrasher Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > perhaps we should meet for hot cross buns! > > Don't like peep toes - they always look slightly > slutty. Just my opinion though. The other prob with peep toes (I think it depends on shoe design for degress of sluttiness), is that your toes might get pinched into complete agony. As for Hot X Buns (that sounds quite porno in itself)... not a bad idea. Or you could join me for some home made oat biscuits at Casa Wee Quinnie?
  17. Yes - I am supposed to be writing an essay on sexuality and disguise in ibsen's The Dolls House, so if you've got any insight into that...I'm all ears! I am displacing like mad and have already torn into a bar of chocolate.

Thank you Moos - hadn't thought of wedges.
