  1. Oh good! Any links to shoes, avidly followed up! Maybe we could get our own show on cable TV! Keep posting (or start posting) outfits for perusal/advice. PS - I have just discovered what fascinators are. Crikey!
  2. Thank you for your endorsements Moos and PGC - I value your input! However, I must say I am not mad keen on heels, as I never wear heels and dread the idea of sore/tired feet. I am conidering taking the shoes back to m and s in light of your comments. Good call! See attached for scanned necklace and home made bag
  3. The short answer is: YES

  5. Hi all, Quite often when I am nodding off to sleep at night, a question pops into my head, and I think, "I must post this on the forum - it is truly the only place I will get the right answer." Of course, when you wake up next day, you think - "How bonkers was that?" Last night I considered posting a picture of an outfit I intend wearing to a wedding in April, and asking you if you thought the shoes were too dark! (In the cold light of day, I have realised, that they may well be, but I don't give a stuff if they are or not, I ain't buying no more....I'm only the bridesmaid after all!) Any other crazy threads you've considered, then rejected for their inanity. Or do you just post on regardlessly? PS - Should I post up my outfit?
  6. Regarding Paul and Heather: I'm with LizzygotDizzy here - she has been crucified by the media - I'm not a fan of hers, but the level of vilification takes my breath away. It is clear that she is suffering from some mental disorder....so Has anyone considered that maybe being married to Paul sent Heather off her rocker?
  7. School* *The only time I have ever been - but believe me I have been enough to last a lifetime
  8. Yeh - really wanted to go last night, but was forced out on other social engagement. Will try harder for next Tues
  9. Yeh - Barrys offie is great isnt it. Although it used to be even better back in the days of Charlie and Mo - who used to always greet me with a cheery "orrrrigh' lav!", and generally keep me up to date on their preferred tipple de jour. Who needs Sainsbos.
  10. Stawbs - it is also good to make a big vat of soup to last you a few days.
  11. Giggirl - I know what you mean about G and B - HOWEVER, I really think the problem is exacerbated by the bare walls and hard surfaces etc - something Mr Wee Quinnie (sound engineer), never fails to draw to my attention whenever we are in there. Its still a fab place - although the acoustics are the only bad thing about it, imho.
  12. Where is the Tulip cafe?
  13. Fantastic - was just thinking about them a couple of hours ago, along the lines of "wish they'd re-open properly....in need of some tarta di santiago..." Will prob pop down on Tues
  14. the pain au chocoats (or should that be pains au chocolat?), from Mon Petit Chou. Helps get me through the bad times. The carrot cake from the cake stall in the market is v good as well.
  15. Start with pain au chocolats in bed (get the ones from MOn Petit Choux) - this is how I start every Sat morning - God I love Saturdays.
  16. Moos - trust me, it is.
  17. I've never been in there, so for my enlightenment what sort of artists/musics do they play? Can you name names, because I am not good on genres.

Anytime I admit to not knowing where a town/city/river/other geographical feature (eg oxbow lake) is, my mother looks at me with undisguised puzzlement and utters the following words- "But you've got an A Level Geography!"* * Grade E, fact fans
  19. Where in Cornwall is it?
  20. By the way...WELCOME BACK BRENDAN!
