  1. Tofu - most people just dont know how to prepare it.
  2. Update everyone, I had one of the half price pannettone yesterday. It tasted nice, but nothing special. I might venture to Romeo Jones or Gastronomio later.
  3. Also, Romeo Jones isnt actually in East Dulwich.
  4. The power of the Forum.... You'll be pleased to hear...the pannettones down at EDD are half price! (Should have said I'm not prepared to pay over a fiver).
  5. Why has no one said "East Dulwich" yet? Thought we'd be on to about the fourth instance of that by now.

If the stain is actually dried now, I think you might be in sh1t street.

Oh! I like this one. Analysis anyone?
  8. Australia. (Apologies to any Australians out there - including Quinnie mor).
  9. Russell Brand. What's that all about?
  10. I had a dream last night, where me and Quinnie mor, were helping someone who had been stabbed, and we wrapped the man up in my sleeping bag, whilst waiting for the ambulance. When the ambulance arrived I said, to Quinnie mor, "Can you get the sleeping bag off him, cause it's Cath Kidston limited edition, and you cant get them anymore??" I tbink this is saying, maybe I should re-evaluate my priorities.
  11. Just to balance out the ying of the "overrated" thread: East Dulwich Supermarket (opp EDD) - why does no one ever mention this place - its v good. Various other corner store places around SE22. I esp like Barry Rd Stores - although it was better a couple of years ago, when they used to have various off the wall sales..like rails of made to measure suits. Its still a nice friendly store though.

  14. I know I am going to be shot down for these: Kettle chips anyone? YUK!! Oh and, Britains fave novel: Pride and Prejudice.
  15. Yeh - but I was planning on spending less than 50 quid per head!!
  16. When, oh when will all those retailers with panettone do the decent thing and get it in the sale? I am esp. eyeing up the ones hanging up in EDD - but I'll be damned if I'll pay more than a tenner for one. (They are currently being sold for in excess of twenty notes). Since so many people on da forum seem to be detoxing (ghastly word, that), surely demand is at an all time low?? Come on, retailers....slash those prices!
  17. I don't know about vain, but Boris Johnson is certainly egocentric. The whole pointy hair thing is v wierd.
  18. Wow - Thanks for that DM !
  19. I shall have to have a look up in the library (God, I hope I don't actually have to ask someone for it *shudder*) - mind you, I am sure it is a very hotly subscribed issue!
  20. DM - Is there a link to the article about you? I don't want to go trawling through the Mail's website...would make me feel very grubby. I think your munchkins would be overwhelmed by insects because you've been smearing them in jam to make them look vintage. (Do keep up...with your previous posts!)
  21. at the moment... avoiding all the people in my kitchen.
  22. More eco friendly to go for used clothing over new stuff. You're right though - they dont have to be some goddamn rude!
  23. People leaving the doors in your house open. ARGH!!!!! This has been happening a lot recently...thought everyone grew up with parents telling them not to leave doors open?
  24. Yeh but Brendan, the Gordster has lovely hair.
  25. so am i!
