  2. You could try the library (if desperate)
  3. Anna's suspicions would also have been alerted by anyone praising the food in the Plough. Urgh!
  4. I was going to suggest the Muppets - I am inordinately fond of Prof Bunsen Honeydew and his hapless sidekick Beaker (inventors of edible paperclips and a machine for changing gold into cottage cheese, amongst other stuff), however, now that you mention it DM.........yeh Dustin all the way.
  5. I like Day Lewis. The last time I went in there, we had a good mathematical session with a calculator to work out what was the cheapest way to buy iron tablets. Fantastic!
  6. Argh! Just got a bit mixed up, and went to The Plough for veggie Sunday lunch - and it was v v ordinary. Then I got home and realised it was The Bishop I had been thinking about. Damn. Oh well, now I know. The wine was quite good though.
  7. Yay! Good stuff Ratty.
  8. I am re-reading David Sedaris "dress your children in corduroy" which is totally HILARIOUS

  11. With no disrespect to Miss Hope and Mr Greenwood - I know its a v cute shop, and they have worked hard and all the rest of it. But why everyone wets their pants over this shop is beyond me.
  12. I think I saw this guy myself last week. Quite annoying.
  13. I'm not bothering with A2A again - I shall switch to the fab Mitchell & Webb
  14. Chi Chi Ra Ra is also very good.

  17. Happy birthday Jah - 50 is the new ....(insert what age you want here) >:D<:)-D .... just because all the other posts have them
  18. Hi All, I have been avidly awaiting Ashes to Ashes, and am finding it very disappointing. Also, their depiction of 1981, is sooo not correct. (Although, no doubt you could argue that since it is a parallel universe, it's not necessarily going to be exactly the same).
  19. That puts a completely different complexion on things.
  20. Oh I had a funny one last night - Forum related in fact. I have often wondered what Kalamity Kel's job is - because she does refer to it frequently in her posts. Last night, I dreamt that she was working in White Stuff. (No, I've never met her). I think this means I should have gone to the Curry night last night.
  21. The Pistachio Club is definitely my fave curry restaurant of the LL ones - never disappointed. I also like the strange mix of Pared down with a chandelier - the human touch there!
