  2. Or "I could eat a horse and chase the jockey"
  3. Mine is "Yer head's cut", meaning of course, "You are talking nonsense". I love the imagery of your braincells leaking out.
  4. Sean, are you still looking for Tayto spring onion flavour? You can get them here http://www.tayto.com/shop/index.php?cPath=3&main_page=index By the way, I have noticed people selling them on ebay!!
  5. I know! It's got a very nice branch of Majestic wine.
  6. according to the bible (se22 magazine), bombay bicycle club "are coming to the se22 (sic?)sometime next month." This isn't a "rumour", btw, it's listed under "coming soon"....so it must be true.;-)
  7. I am completely with you on this one, although in my case it is also due to me getting rid of the annoying backpackers that have been chez wee quinnie for the last 3 weeks. Yay - break out the champers!
  8. Or even (as I previously suggested), use one of the many bags that you already have at home.
  9. Yes - it's very nearly ready - I noticed last night that they've got the teacups in! Wahey - I am so pleased about this one.
  10. Can you count members of the forum as "famous faces" ? (After all they are famous to us). I have been looking at the pictures of previous forum drinks nights, and I am sure I spotted a forumite wandering down Underhill Rd last night (Thurs).
  11. Parkers Folly - you are spot on, about the view - I walk up there myself sometimes, but I am always on the look out for dog poo.
  12. Lordship_bod the new teashop will be opening near Karavan - it used to be the chandelier/French furniture shop. I am currently keeping myself sated with the pastries in Mon Petit Chou. (Very nice - but tend to sell out quickly). Despite my moniker, alas I have no links with Superquinn.
  13. Sod the White Stuff opening, I am more interested in the new tea shop and its long overdue arrival. (I like my cream buns).
  14. One of the less commented upon aspects of being Irish, is how "tribal" we are. It always seems to matter (to Irish people), that you point out which part of Ireland you come from...town/county. Also, the whole business of "playing with words", is different depending upon wherabouts in the country you come from. My Northern family are completely to the point, whereas with my Cork family it takes about an hour to determine if they mean "Yes" or "No", if you offer them a cup of tea. Strewth.
  15. I, too, am from the old country, (Derry City). Whenever I head over there I like to declare that I am off to the Provence. (French accent).
  16. I didn't mean literally "foo foo". (Shades of Fr Ted, "The bad word...worse than feck.") I meant the C word! Apologies if you realised that.
  17. Well, in the space of 24 hours on the famous people in ED thread, "Wee Quinnie" was pretty much called a... foo foo - AND also wee wee.
  18. Following on from Mixulees post...I saw Olivia Colman this morning (on Northcross Rd) - luckily she was covering up her "birthday suit" with "kaftan garb". These slebs all seem very repetitive in their behaviour.
  19. Yeh - the divider things don't work very well, and I have lost a couple. I have had to make my own (Blue Peter style) non removable. I realise I am veering into control freakery territory here.
  20. If you have a large pair of scissors you can cut the can open and take out the wee bobbly thing.
  21. According to Cambridge dictionaries, "famous" means known and recognised by many people. Liddle might not be David Beckham, but I wouldn't say he was less famous than Stephen Frost. I'm not saying I like the guy - I haven't really got an opinion of him, tbh. As for my name, is is "quine" or "quinnie" that is rude? What does it mean? Poo or something worse?
  22. Dunstans Road - someones front garden? The strange petrol pump in front garden seemed to be a recurring motif up here on the Upper East Side some time back.
  23. Is that your way of saying that mean you haven't heard of him?
  24. I have been reading her blog...but it's just not enough!
  25. I am really missing Dulwich Mum from the forum - I have had to console myself with marathon blog reading sections. (The back issues).
