Yeah - Union Jack ones.

Well as my better half is out with the girls tonight and it's such a nice day out there I may finally venture along for a bit (have to work tomorrow) and put a few faces to names, I'll be the lost looking one trying to figure out which group is forumites...
I had a good night, glad I finally decided to come along and meet a few of the people behind the keyboards, I'm sure I'll be along for more drinks in the future (and I owe Piers a pint after I ashamedly was unable to down the one he brought me before closing time.....although judging by my slightly off colour start to work today that may have been a good thing).

I was indeed, although I did discover unknown to me that there was a previous EDKiwi (with a different spelling?) who a few people had assumed I was.

I think we may have said hello in passing, I was going to come over and introduce myself properly but the next think I knew it was closing time and only a few of us were left.

    • I no longer live in London, myself and family lived at 126 Hindmans Rd from 1950 to 1961.my memories of the area are still fresh in my mind  We lived in one of 3 houses at the upland road end of the road these were the only ones left standing on that side of the road after the bombing in 1944 .next to us on one side were the masses family and the other the smiths .On the corner was a large transport yard run by the pocknall bros we as a family had many friends up and down the road. I can relate many stories about events of the time some very amusing some not so would be very happy to share if there is any interest  . .
