A friends child always caleed her a mimsy which my daughter then picked up rather than my attempt at a more medical term ! all well and good till the film the last mimsy came out. My daughter her friend and to my shame me all spent most of the film giggling after the little girl in the film starts running around looking for her mimsy !

My mum always referrred to it as a "fanny" which I can understand by why she called my brother's eqiupment a "penny whistle" I do not know. I don't have girls but we call it their 'willy' but they prefer to call it their 'penis'.

I must say I did not imagine that there were so many different names used for the same body part. I have a friend who calls it a 'puffer' which is the same name I call my asthma inhaler - cue children laughing hystericallly!

Fandango.

Excellent caller to the Adam and Joe show a few months back on this subject said her daughter had asked this very question while in the bath one night. Parent replied that she could call it anything she wanted. Quick as flash daughter fired back 'Harry Potter'.

That's what we do in Dutch too and I think I'll teach her the same in English (unless it sounds very unnatural in English??)

    • Went to a fireworks display maybe 20 years ago at the Crystal Palace, it wasn't bonfire night, can't remember why it was being held, Capital Radio were there. There were people hanging from a crane, classical music, and quiet fireworks,  It was lovely, still dramatic with the colours but no loud bangs. Not sure why this hasn't become the norm.
    • Hi  After a surprising split I find myself trying to furnish a home. If you gave anything that you don't want that may help I'd be so so so grateful if you could let me know please.  Thank you so much
    • Hallo As far as I know  info you have quoted is wrong.  You can phone for an appointment although I have always found it easier to do online. Go to their website for info on how to book appointments Any requests I have made have been reviewed and answered by a GP within 4 hours
    • Nadia did a great job tidying up my very very overgrown yard. (See the before and after photos). I live in New Zealand and my tenants said a neighbour has been complaining about the out of control ivy. Nadia was easy to contact so over WhatsApp, managed to liaise between me and my tenants. Her quote was reasonable for the amount of work that needed doing, and the end result is great! She sent photos throughout so I could track progress. Would highly recommend her to others.
