Yes awfully sorry about that old bean. In fact, not that I am one to brag about such matters, the letters Dic HD follow my (already) rather grand name - but I don't care for such pretentious trumpery.

Toodle pip, Katharina van der Perjil (Mrs).

Esme.

Old bean - not at all, in fact.....

"Dearest Esme", as my Great Uncle, the Duke of Dunstable once said " It is a good rule in life never to apologise. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them."

Toodle pip Es...er, I mean, you know....;-)

Yours,

KVDP (Mrs)

Anyway back to the thread.

If Leb-Dem councilors do not respond to emails and letters and in some cases delete emails all together without reading first. Why should people vote for Leb-Dems to run central government, if they are not going to listen locally why would they listen nationally

Your vote is between you and the ballot box, make your own mind up, this is just an opinion.

KD

I think we should all stop posting on this thread until KD explains what "real east dulwich people" are.

It's a term he used, but he has managed to completely ignore all calls for explanation, so lets stop making him feel important by using this thread, until he decides to actually explain himself, without just being abusive to people.

So, very clearly KD...

What is a "real east dulwich" person?

I don't believe I've ever looked down my "noise" (sic) at anyone!

Closing statement:

If I have offended anyone during the course of this thread, I unreservedly apologise, especially about the ?real people of East Dulwich? comment. This is no excuse, but I had seen people being bullied on this site, for asking innocent questions. One person posted, asking about tactical voting and one of the first responses to this post was an attack ?libdem brainwashing conspiracy?? the original posting person gave a graceful rebuttal and duly left, not to return.

Thank you,

KD

Closing Statement.

Kevin Donnelly you've posted noxious politically motivated unsubstantiated smears.

You've insulted hardworking local politicians who tried to look after you even though you're not in their ward.

You've insulted everyone on this forum in the pursuit of your vendetta.

You're to stupid to realise that the LDs are now the most influential party in the hung parliament.

Having done this you're wandering off like a mongrel who shat on your own doorstep.

You are in short, an idiot.

Thank you,

HN

Great way to influence policy, lose five seats. Nice one.

Touch of sour grapes me thinks.

Or two...

So I think they will get the Home Office and Scotland as cabinet posts...so no real need to worry then!

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
