A Hobbit? Possibly.

Sexy? You cannot be serious.

Please, please tell me you were joking. Otherwise I'm going to have to seriously question what's going on with my libido and indeed my all around discernment.

The word "antithesis" is flashing before my eyes as I type...

Oh dear.

On June 15th was getting P13 bus home and on Underhill Rd, Kate Ford (aka Tracy Barlow from Coronation St) got on with kiddie in pram, recognised straight away, but surprised as she was supposed to be doing bird! Then she put on her sunglasses prob to avoid detection! And havign checked online found out that that day was her 33rd birthday

Popbitch reckons Rob da Bank lives in East Dulwich.

This inspires the following rather amusing tirade:

.

He lives in the nauseating hellhole that is East Dulwich these days.

A place where a smoking pregnant woman can warrant a 14-page thread of hand-wringing. Not saying we have a PB day out, but...

Dulwich a mere sneer away from Camberwell

I saw C3PO and R2D2 go into the Adventure Bar last Thursday.

I happenened to be in the closing down vid shop a few hours later and they were in there in a fearful state.

C3PO was all over the Alien figure and kept twanging its tongue in a lewd manner.

R2D2 insisted on offering the Predator figure out, ignoring the advice of the good people in the shop who kept telling him the Predator was 'not worth doing time for'.

I overheard them giving the police officer who arrived the names COD and CR322P, the scoundrels.

The last I saw of them, one was doing a fast 'mince' and the other a speedy glide after a P13.

Likely as not Streatham blow-ins.

I you sure it wasn't 'Chelle out of Eastenders?

I haven't watched it for several years, but still reckon it would be an easy mistake to make.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
