Nice pub. Very busy it was tonight....especially outside!

Sorry people, I got there late and asked the lovely bar staff if there was anyone there called 'Mick'...so she asked what you looked like. I was like dunno...she probably thought I was a bit mad not knowing who I was meeting - lol, how embarrassing!

But totally my fault for not PMing to confirm...I didn't know if I'd get back from Edinburgh in time. Hope all (four of you) had a f-a-b night!

Next time for sure :)-D

well, a classic example as i have been saying for a while now ( but no-one listens), people don't recognize who they are looking for then give up, a possible reason for the drinks numbers to dwindle, we were about 9, sitting outside then inside, after the staff had to move us (everybody) inside, because of noise. The edf needs its own flag. Sorry you missed us katie.

BTW, this place looks great and has a great vibe.

Oh Katie1997, sorry to have missed you...there were more than 4 of us in the end (9ish at last count?)... It was a really great evening...and the venue was lovely...

Thanks for taking me little bro...

Thanks for organising Mick Mac...brilliant.

Fabulous catching up with familiar faces and amazing to meet one new face who knew 4 friends of mine (incredible, in fact).

A good night. Thanks to those who came along. Especially good to meet giggirl.

Undisputed highlight was quids and LM having a race up adys road with quids trousers falling down.

Very warm im the Vic and the beer was not cold enough, either the draught or the bottles. But overall a nice bar.

Also, surprised to see a big screen in there Scott. I thought you had gone on record here saying football was for chavs? ::o

Ahem! I believe I won the second race though...you CAN remember the second race - right? (through the park at Goose Green?)? LOL! Anyway Quids, you have longer legs than me...you should have given me a head start.

Now Mick Mac...what on earth happened to you in the Bishop? Left Quids, me and your untouched beer sitting there like a couple of lemons. You just...erm...kinda...vanished!

But yes, a fabulous evening.

    • Until the licencing laws changed in the late eighties, pubs were only allowed to open Sunday hours on Christmas Day, so 12 'til 2, and the majority didn't open in the evening unless it was for a 'private party'. But that's another story. The landlord of my old local used to let everyone double or treble up at last orders so that you could avoid having to watch the Queen's Speech with your Nans at three o'clock. Dulwich Tandoori is open Christmas Day for those who don't fancy Gail's.  'Festive Flavours', apparently.
    • My nominations are the Goblin Band at the Goose, and the Errol Linton Trio  at the Dulwich Folk Club.  I'm not sure what other venues we have in the immediate area.  I rarely do the big (1000 plus) places any more.  Your nominations? And a special mention to Truthpaste, at least one member is local and their video was recorded around here.  But I caught them in North London.  And please see the link to the BBCs recording of the Copper Family at the Castle a few weeks ago~: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002ng53
