What ED pubs are NOT showing the football?

So which pub is NOT and I'll go there.

I don't think Bar Story has any screens - you could try there.

Black Cherry and Liquorice(sp?) I think are also screen-free.

But as for actual pubs? I'm at a loss.

The Palmerston has a poster in the window that says 'FOOTBALL' on it. Not sure what it's about because only spotted from a bus but perhaps they showing it?

What kind of idiot wouldn't show the football during the world cup! Its a brewer's bonanza.

If they aint got screens, for sure they will be getting them in. Ur best bet is a Wetherspoons, I believe they have a no entertainment policy of any sort.

Not so. They can't be idiots either as they are showing the World Cup on big screens at The Capitol (a Wetherspoon pub) in Forest Hill.

Liquorice is showing the footie (advertised outside). I think that there is definitely a niche market for those who still want an evening out WITHOUT watching the games!

I thought that about Wetherspoons - til the last world cup when the Wetherspoons I was in suddenly unveiled an absolutely huge screen - from nowhere. It seemed it had been built into the Wetherspoons - but never used (except in football emergencies obviously).

The Blue Mountain cafe has a notice outside in the evenings saying "wine bar", looks quiet and probably not showing the footie!

Green & Blue are not showing the footie. PeckhamRose, I understand you aren't a wine bar person, but we do have some beers/cider/soft drinks/coffee if you are desperate for a footie free venue!
