Louisa - is the Pyros not still old school enough?

I hope someone doesn't do it up because I doubt it'll work: Old Nuns Head is opposite and does the hipster thing very well but they work very hard to get a decent number of people in during the week. Plus the excellent but tiny Beer Shop. I don't think there's enough young drinkers around to justify another place like that so close.

Ha yea the underworld smells so bad around the toilets (and so do loads of the metal pubs around that area to be fair). It's been done up in the last couple of months and is all shiny and new. Wonder how long that lasts though ha

    • Seconded. Called this morning after reading this recommendation. He sent Andy round who diagnosed, checked and fixed a leaky shower. Very fairly priced, £124 for call out, materials and a good hours work. I’m delighted.
    • I've looked up previous media coverage and gather that the school warned pupils of the risk of police 'fines' for assembly under the extant Covid regulations.  Don't you think they might have felt it a duty, to both pupils and parents, to do so?
    • I'm glad that Barry's have posted.  Their mention of the merger soon led me to (a) bushy-tailed  PR guff about the new member joining the inpost 'family' and promising a bright happy world of lockers etc ahead. and (b) clear signs that the same problems related here seem to have been current and widespread even three months ago.  That's just from looking at one thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/vinted/comments/1nlv3u2/yodelinpost_merger_issues/
    • @first mate not aware of any either. Found this relating to 23-24..  https://services.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-creates/funding/cultural-celebrations-fund?chapter=4
