He might be a scummer ratty but the boy done good. When you put on an England shirt it doesn't matter who you play for you're playing for England now and that's all that counts. What an unexected and fabulous result. Well pleased, long may the improvement continue.

Watched the second half of the game in a very packed CPT. Now that the Mag now longer does the footy the place was even more packed than ever. A very good atmosphere though and the small amount of staff that were on coped very well with such a big extra demand and considering they had the pub quiz on in the other bar too, so a big thumbs up to them.(tu)

I think Gerrard will be playing tomorrow but it's come a bit too early for Torres. Rierra will probably make his debut on the wing too. In fact there will be quite a few interesting debuts tomorrow including Berbatov for Man Utd. What's the betting he scores on his debut? Also Robinho against Chelsea and Pavlyuchenko for Spurs against Aswton Villa.


Also, can Gianfranco Zola inspire a win for West Ham against the Baggies. Should be a very interesting weekend for the Premiership and I'm looking forward to Match Of The Day on Saturday night.

I'll bloody miss it, playing at a wedding somewhere near Norwich, going to be a horrificly long day, home approx 4am! :(


You're probably right about Gerrard, just hope he's not being pushed to play too soon! Definitely shouldn't risk Torres, hamstrings are not to be messed with!!! Could be Keane's opportunity to shine.


I am looking forward to seeing this Pavlyuchenko too. Mark Lawrenson says he fancies him as a player, but worries that he needs a lot of chances to convert to goals.

Go for it. I was on the train back from Cheltenham Festival once and Jamie Moralee and Andy May were in my carriage. Finally plucked up the courage to say how much I enjoyed watching them the night before and they were darlings - I even got a kiss from them.

      I hate to be that guy but i don't think you'll get much joy calling 999 if your phone has been stolen.

      Unless you are watching it 24x7 then its hard to qualify that its not being used. Unless you are a business overlooking it of course. Personally I am reassured we still have phone boxes as they provide a valuable emergency use. If you are mugged for you phone, you can call 999 from them, if your house or business is on fire and you run out without a phone you can dial 999 from them. Some people don't have a mobile so its potentially reassuring for them knowing they can call someone if they feel unwell whilst out.  Just because some people don't see value in an object, doesn't mean others don't.

It's a disaster. And for this government, who were happy to tell us they had 14 years to prepare to lead, it has been one self-inflicted disaster after another since they took over. To be honest the signs were there when they were in opposition but I think we all gave them the benefit of the doubt as they weren't the Tories and now they have the reigns the additional scrutiny that brings is tripping them up.

      I don't think I've ever seen it used other than for gluing advertising on it. It's definitely not a priority but these things typically get ignored and become part of the furniture (so to speak).  There is a beautiful old red box near Upland Rd. I miss old red boxes... 😞 Anyway I'll have a dig around and see if anything can be done.
