Keef
Did the same supporters come up with the skol song by any chance? :-) Great result, and agree totally about the goal celebration, It's like a primary school forward roll! Let's call it what it is, a rubbish roly poly. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/154/#findComment-136716 Share on other sites
Annasfield
Stevie's goal was superb. I am very smug to be able to say that I witnessed his 100 from the Kop. >:D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/154/#findComment-136719 Share on other sites
Keef
That is indeed a good claim. Almost a shame that it wasn't one of his really crucial goals, but at least it was an awesome one rather than a tap in. ratty
Will Pompey make history tonight and win a game on foreign soil. I am soiling myself with excitement about this one and am going to risk a beer despite recovering only today from gastro enteritis!PUP Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/154/#findComment-136836 Share on other sites

Peckhamgatecrasher
Still rather nice to swoon over Tim Cahill though. I thought they might make it in the last seconds, but alas ... Keef
I was pleased SL beat Everton, and not at all due to distaste for Everton (that's an aside). They were bloody unlucky against Liverpool, and I really felt for them, so want them to do well. Annasfield
Bit of a roller coaster that Ratty. Everton finished the highest last season and went out first. I really do think that a lot of people under-estimated Standard Liege though. They are a tough physical team. ruffers
Moyes must be on his way soon, can't see him taking Everton any further and he's had a new contract in front of him for weeks and not signed it.Next stop? Keef
Doubt Jah does this morning! Actually, Spurs seemed to play a lot better than they have been, just couldn't find the goal. SimonM
Oh yes, ruff if you're a Spurs fan I am sure. But to come to London on successive weekends and beat both Arsenal & Spurs eh? Respect! SeanMacGabhann
Simon is just brimming with Yorkshire pride all around today I would imagine. And the Owls lost heavily so he couldn't be happierI've missed Match(es) of the Day this weekend so just read about Liverpool's comeback yesterday - wicked stuff. Definitely look like a more solid proposition this year - and if(when) Arsenal don't win it, I would love it to be LiverpoolAfter the blip at Fulham, I thought that successive wins on away trips to bogey teams up North, Asrsenal would have a great season but it's looking like we just don't have "it" yet. It's very early days but something would need to change for us to challenge1I've said it before but after the weekend I'll say it again - Roy Keane continues to impress as a manager. Not just for getting results but the way he is handling himself in interviews - a far cry from 10 years ago. I read he is sniffing after Viera as well.. mockney piers
Looks like our title hopes ended too ;-PMaybe next season *coughs into hand*Cracker of a last goal from Bolton though. green won't be staying in the England squad long if he carries on like that, I can see Zola giving him another taste of a drop from the first team.Yeah, great comeback by liverpool, could have been more frankly, but I did feel a bit sorry for Man City, I rather like old Sparky. Keef
Liverpool may have benefitted from the red card, but it was a clear red, and he had to go. Nice to see the fighting spirit to come back, and especially good after Chelsea eased past Villa, which I thought would be a sterner test for them.Green had a shocking game, but hopefully that'll be a on off... SimonM
>>Simon is just brimming with Yorkshire pride all around today I would imagine. And the Owls lost heavily so he couldn't be happier <<Exactly so! Since losing 6-0 to Arsenal we have won 3 in a row and climbed 11 places in the table. No game this weekend of course - shame really! - but the game the following weekend is away to W*dn*sd*y & live on Sky....
