I thought Gareth Bale's red card should have been a yellow and OK we improved a little bit after that up to half-time with Bent scoring what was definitely an offside goal but in the second half we didn't even have a shot on goal. The January sales can't come quick enough.

Jah - I have a feeling that your luck might change when you play us. Just a feeling.

By the letter of the law, Bale's red was technically a red so the ref did the right thing. Seemed harsh in the circumstances, but he was the last defender. (Wasn't he? Or had I totally pickled my brain over the weekend?)

No, you're right. He was the last defender and had to go. And, if you think your brain was pickled over the weekend...well you know don't you. And, I really can't see our luck changing against Liverpool especially on current form. I'd be absolutely amazed.
Looks like Commolis for the heave-ho, smacks of tokenism to me. If it gives Ramos a bit more time though I'm all for it. I'm also starting to realise after hearing him talk for the first time this week why he hasnt done so before, he sounds awfully similar to dear old Ossie doesnt he and while he was an absolute legend as a player...his managerial career while exciting, nay heartstopping was scarcely a success. We'll beat Bolton this Sunday and who knows, if the big boys stop playing rough and let us play our passing game we might even put the gooners to the sword! Heh...right.
..yeah, nice to see Arsene stranding up for him this morning wasnt it...who said the starchy old swine didnt have a sense of humour. It does beg the question as to whether if he had recruited the same players at A**enal they might be fareing a little better than at Spurs. There does seem to be a bit of a sickness at the heart of our club. Boo-hoo I know...but tis a mystery to be sure. :-S

BREAKING NEWS.......

Spurs manage 1st win but no clean sheet

we flatter to deceive this season RC - every thumping 5 something win by our youngsters is followed by a dull, workmanlike performance, which we usually lose. I think West Ham stand more than a chance

then again, in an echo of Annasfield's comment earlier re: Liverpool, there is something pre-written about Spurs coming out oftheir slump by beating Arsenal

Oh purleeeease! You're just trying to be nice. If we can't beat the likes of Stoke City it would be a major bloody miracle if we could beat either Liverpool or Arsenal in the next few weeks. I'm pretty sure we're going to get a serious hammering from both sides. Liverpool are playing very well at the moment with Kuyt able to bang them in while Torres is out and watching the Arsenal last night... well they are simply breathtaking at times and that's just the kids.

Until we get some confidence in our play and some decent forwards, natural goalscorers and a solid defensive midfielder with a bit of bite in the tackle like a Dave Mackay or a Graham Roberts in the next transfer window we're seriously in the shit. Frankly, I really can't see where our next win is coming from, we're that bad at the moment. Bolton on Sunday would be a very good start though.

WE're hitting a bit of a rocky patch at the moment, so we can be your litmus for needing a win against Arsenal. If we win there's hope, if we don't (and we almost certainly won't considering current form*) you're screwed!!

    • I recently hired Andy to paint the newly plastered walls in my front room, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the start, he offered a fair and reasonable price for the work, and his professionalism really stood out. Andy has a wealth of experience and was happy to share suggestions about colour choices and paint types, which made the decision-making process much easier. He completed the work within the agreed timescale, and I am very happy with the finish.  What impressed me most is that Andy went above and beyond what I initially asked. He not only painted the room beautifully but also helped with extra tasks such as putting up the wall bracket, curtain poles, and curtains, and even gave me a hand moving furniture between rooms. That level of support is rare and very much appreciated. If you’re looking for a painter and decorator who is reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced, experienced, and willing to go the extra mile to help, I would highly recommend Andy.
    • John recently skimmed the walls in our front room lounge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and easy to work with.   He arrived on time each day and kept me updated on progress, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The quality of his plastering is smooth, even, and ready to paint with minimal prep. He takes real pride in his work.   John was also very tidy, laying down protective sheets and cleaning up thoroughly after the job was done. It’s clear he respects his clients’ homes, which I really appreciated.   On top of that, he’s friendly, approachable, and trustworthy someone you feel comfortable having in your home. His pricing was fair and transparent, with no unexpected costs.   Highly recommended if you're looking for a skilled and reliable plasterer. I’ll definitely be using him again for any future work.
