Top form???

A woman running a business from home doesn't want to give her address out on the forum, for very obvious reasons.

So therefore admin decides to delete all her posts and the posts of people replying to them, thereby greatly affecting her business.

Pretty disgraceful, I'd say.

ETA: But hopefully you were being sarcastic about the "top form".

I wanted to say exactly the same thing Sue but knew I'd could be hammered as I have used Jennifer's business and would be seen as biased - I've met the lady in question once.

It's nice to know that any women who has concerns for her safety will be treated with such understanding and kindness.

While I do understand that Admin has to have rules to ensure businesses are real, surely there is a case for being able to provide alternative evidence - or should any women, who let's face it could have suffered stalking or domestic abuse, not be allowed to advertise their business whilst also keeping themselves safe.

It struck me as just so typical of men not having the first clue what many women's normal everyday life is like and how we have to be constantly on guard and afraid.

How do you know it was a man?

I don't - but I am accurately reporting what crossed my mind when I read it. Fair play - it's true - other women can have no clue what other women have to live with too. But that didn't cross my mind at the time. I don't care if it's a man or a women - I care about what has happened.

I just think there are circumstances when a rigid rule can be unfair to people we would usually all want to help. I think it's an issue that is important enough to be pointed out and it could be so easily solved. I want women to be able to provide for themselves and feel safe in their own homes. That's it.

Yes I must say I felt the same when I saw the exchange between Tropicbyjennifer and Admin. Unfair and unduly harsh. In these circumstances when a woman is running a business at home, surely she can be allowed to provide (and prove) her trading address to Admin privately.

FFS, she was told she can just put the road she lives/works from. We understand she doesn't want to put her exact address hence we would have been happy if she said "I work/live in East Dulwich on Lordship Lane", we told her that, we've exchanged emails behind the scenes so you've only seen a bit of it. The whole point of it is so that we can easily delete blow in adverts and not have to check each and every person's address.

The business rules say:

"please don't complain when you break the rules and I enforce them"

"I see a company has broken the rule more than 3 times then KAPOW!"

"we do not have time to check to find out where companies are based"

How could it be any clearer?

And stop being sexist and jumping to conclusions that we don't understand women's safety. She must have been told unpteen times, she broke the rules umpteen times, then umpteen times again. There's only so much we can do with the time we have.

Spray tans are so Essex anyway, in EDF Towers we prefer the pale, celtic look.

That is totally uncalled for and wrong on so many levels.

Her business has nothing to do with spray tans.

She sells natural and ethical skincare products.

Indeed, and Admin?s snobbish views are irrelevant, surely!

Is this the same administrator who took it upon themselves to write to Heals on my behalf?

Concerning which I have never had an explanation, despite being promised one.

ETA: And my PMs about the incident remaining unread months and months later.

No Admin, no EDF. The rules are set, if you can't abide by them, tough luck. Other online fora are available.

Sue, I seem to recall you got a fulsome and genuine apology from Admin for their slightly misguided (but genuinely well-intentioned) attempt to help you, perhaps you should drop it now?

As admin says above in relation to the address issue, there were other messages exchanged behind the scenes.

So maybe you should not suggest I drop it when you haven't seen the correspondence and don't know the full story?

ETA: And btw the apology was not from the person who had written to Heals. It was from someone who promised to investigate and get back to me, and didn't.

So I still don't know what the expletive deleted was said on my behalf.

Really Sue, give it up. One of the Admin misguidedly took it upon themselves, with the best of intentions, to try and get an answer from Heals for a problem you were having with their customer service. You objected to them doing that, they apologised. It's really not worth chucking your toys out of the pram for, is it? As far as I recall they didn't use your name, has it actually harmed you in any way? Why can't you just say thanks, know you were trying to help but rather you didn't and leave it at that?

She does sell fake tan though, only it's called things like "Summer Goddess Shimmering Body Oil".

RH. Have you looked at the product or ingredients in your "fake tan" post above. I'm assuming your trying to make a joke, making light of the administrators out of order comment and bad attitude over all to this poster. Do you know the administer by any chance?. Belittlng comments,

playground behaviour without a thought for this womans business.
