Artusi is a cut above anything else in the area. Small but perfectly formed menu.

Agree that Artusi is very good. Also local; Four Hundred Rabbits, new pizzeria in Nunhead looks good particularly since they serve Gelupo gelato which points to very good taste!


Up in town, Boca di Lupo in Archer Street or Latium in Berners Street would be my two top picks.

Le Querce in Brockley Rise is always good, and they have the most wonderful unusual selection of ice creams. I'm not normally a lover of ice cream, but some of the flavours, like chilli, are impossible to resist. It's a nice, traditional restaurant and we've never had a bad meal there.
