Best!

McCabe

G'day DJ Killer Queen,

Ping me an email and will add you to the email list that heads out on Fridays....

Anyone not on the list, here is the email that went out a couple of moments ago:-)

As we say in German... Alle fertig? Los gehts....Einewandfrei!

*************************************

Good Friday morning to all!

Yes, the best morning of the week is just 24Hrs away... There are a couple of new names on this list, so looking forward to a big group in the morning.

I am really pleased with the languages that we are using while counting down our stretches, dips, press-ups etc, over the past couple of weeks, these are the languages we counted in.... get this!

* Spanish

* French

* German

* Russian

* Equador-Spanish

* Hindi

* Welsh

* Irish

* Japanese

* Greek

* ... and English!

Tomorrow will see 5-minutes of boxing just before the DSP (Dips, Spquats & Press-ups) - none contact of course.

Don't forget, two bottles of water (ideally the 1 Ltr stubby type), and if you find it a struggle to jog with, hold them close to your chest.... this makes it easier.

I will also post this on the Forum too :-) !!!

McCabe.

Muckers!

Me thinks you will join us mid-way if....... you are out tonight!

The thing is, you ought to join at the start as we get through so many languages, I would hate to think you have missed out on any. I'm considering to give our stop points a reference to a point of the world...... Bare-with......

Input always welcomed :-)

No Mr. McCabe...it has to be all or nothing now, as I need to hire your motorcycle pannier for my football gear! All or nothing - you hear?

One shall try one's best though...toodle pip...

Muckers.

PS: Latin - can anyone count in Latin?

Have been following the post for a while and have finally accepted that I need to shift my ever expanding waistline! Are you planning to meet on Sunday?. If so do I need to do anything except fill in the medical form and turn up!?

Please also don't let me be the only lardie there as I don't want to slow you all down!

M

G'day Millie,

Sat at 10am, meeting by the cafe on the Rye. It's FREE, just bring some change for a tea/ coffee at the end. To register, fill in a health form on www.ahm-go.com and email it back to [email protected]

It's the friendliest, funniest fitness group with a bit of fitness thrown in too.

Come along this morning with 2 bottles of water (1 Ltr stubby bottles) for arm toning.

McC

A big thank you to you Mr. McCabe for another one of your excellent sessions. It was the perfect warm-up to my usual Saturday match. And extra thanks for ensuring safe storage of my kit. Perfect I tell you, perfect!

Hi McCabe,

I'm thanking you now for a fantastic fitness session today just in case my muscles don't thank me in the morning! A great mix of cardio and toning exercises. I felt very welcomed and part of the group!

See you next Saturday...

Guys,

The pleasure is always mine :-) Will advise of the '5-minute' special on the Friday email... In 2-weeks time it will be 'Tae Kwon Do' leg kicks, so might return to deep squats which you will feel the next day.

Great to meet two new ones, Lynz & Phil, I hope you were both in good form on Sunday, maybe feeling muscles you didn't know you had.

My bike group had a good challenging time on Sunday, we headed out to Gatwick via Reigate for 'tea'. We headed back via Dorking to Box Hill......yep, you physically have to look up at 60 degrees to see the top! So, we all cycled up and had a well deserved cup of tea on the top.

High level figures!

C. 60-miles

1860 Cals

Ave speed 13.4MPH

Max Speed 41MPH

Catch you all next Saturday morning, two bottles etc... rah rah rah :-)

McCabe.

ps. Thursday evening make sure you are watching the 'Big Splash' on channel DAVE. This is about Jo Brand following the journey of water.... When the programme cuts to the 'Hackney Empire' for the Stand-up part, look out for 'McCabe', I had supper on Saturday evening with the production company / editor and he has put a few noddy shots of me in.. :-)

Picking up the T-shirts / Jackets this Friday.... all things being equal :-)

Will have them for the group this Saturday. These are FREE issue for those attended 2 sessions or more, .... last remaining 20 to be handed out.

Will require a photo call too :-)

McCabe.

Hey!

Well McCabe, my long weekend away has not happened in the end...

The upside being - I will be there tomorrow to follow your commands as you enthusiastically drag us around the park!

Sooo, see you then,

AnaCarmen

Another fabulous session, Mr. McCabe.

Thank you so much. And remember, given that I rarely get to buy you that coffee (blame football!), that I owe you a drink at the next EDF drinks. Have a marvellous weekend.

Muckers.

Hi,

My sis and I have just moved to the area, and as we are poor students we're always on the lookout for free activities (free is my favourite price!) Just filled in the form and very much looking forward to it!

Plus as a language teacher trainee and a translation student we're always up for trying our hand at new langauges! Arabic anyone...?

See you soon

Alice

Alice!

Just sent and email out to all and included you and a hand full of others too!

FREE! is my middle name, and starting to spread from fitness into languages too. Any questions on the Saturday group, please fire away.

Mine is a large latt? at the end :-)

Hasta la Vista!

McCabe.

Guys,

See you all in the morning.

And for the new ones, we meet by the caf? for 10am on Peckham Rye Park. I'll be in black shorts and a purple top with a cardio trace on the back.

Usual 2, deux bottles of water for arm toning :-)

The first one to the caf? can buy me a large Latt? :)-D

    • Hey Sue, I was wrong - I don't think it would just be for foreign tourists. So yeah I assume that, if someone lives in Lewisham and wants to say the night in southwark, they'd pay a levy.  The hotels wouldn't need to vet anyone's address or passports - the levy is automatically added on top of the bill by every hotel / BnB / hostel and passed on to Southwark. So basically, you're paying an extra two quid a night, or whatever, to stay in this borough.  It's a great way to drive footfall... to the other London boroughs.  https://www.ukpropertyaccountants.co.uk/uk-tourist-tax-exploring-the-rise-of-visitor-levies-and-foreign-property-charges/
    • Pretty much, Sue, yeah. It's the perennial, knotty problem of imposing a tax and balancing that with the cost of collecting it.  The famous one was the dog licence - I think it was 37 1/2 pence when it was abolished, but the revenue didn't' come close to covering the administration costs. As much I'd love to have a Stasi patrolling the South Bank, looking for mullet haircuts, unshaven armpits, overly expressive hand movements and red Kicker shoes, I'm afraid your modern Continental is almost indistinguishable from your modern Londoner. That's Schengen for you. So you couldn't justify it from an ROI point of view, really. This scheme seems a pretty good idea, overall. It's not perfect, but it's cheap to implement and takes some tax burden off Southwark residents.   'The Man' has got wise to this. It's got bad juju now. If you're looking to rinse medium to large amounts of small denomination notes, there are far better ways. Please drop me a direct message if you'd like to discuss this matter further.   Kind Regards  Dave
    • "What's worse is that the perceived 20 billion black hole has increased to 30 billion in a year. Is there a risk that after 5 years it could be as high as 70 billion ???" Why is it perceived, Reeves is responsible for doubling the "black hole" to £20b through the public sector pay increases. You can't live beyond your means and when you try you go bankrupt pdq. In 4 yrs time if this Govt survives that long and the country doesn't go bust before then, in 2029 I dread to think the state the country will be in.  At least Sunak and co had inflation back to 2% with unemployment being stable and not rising.
    • He seemed to me to be fully immersed in the Jeremy Corbyn ethos of the Labour Party. I dint think that (and self describing as a Marxist) would have helped much when Labour was changed under Starmer. There was a purge of people as far left as him that he was lucky to survive once in my opinion.   Stuff like this heavy endorsement of Momentum and Corbyn. It doesn't wash with a party that is in actual government.   https://labourlist.org/2020/04/forward-momentum-weve-launched-to-change-it-from-the-bottom-up/
