Sad to admit but I have a Wii, and I wonder who else in ED has one and wishes to share their Console Code with others in the area.(it allows you to send emails and Mii's to each other for those of us who don't have one - YET)

In the name of online safety I guess the following should apply

1. Register an interest on this thread but don't post your code here directly

2. Private Message people with a request for console codes

3. Over 16's only (I guess a seperate thread could be set up for under 16's on this as well)

Oh and for those of you in your 2nd or higher childhood - if you haven't got one yet trust me it's the best toy I have at the moment (especially when you have a drunken Wii party !!)

Now if only they had a Hungry Hippo Game on it as well !!!

Hi Buggie

You can play games between friends, however they are limited to only certain games at the moment (Mario Striker Challenge is one) and you need good connection speeds to do it with (dial up is not an option) Wireless connection is easy and all you need to do is know what security your router has and it's SSID name.

The Wii code can be found by going to the little envelope thing on the main menu, then compose a new message and will be displayed on the front of the address book when you open it (not the most logical route but....)

Mockney - Totally agree about the interface although the same route as above applies

Also the latest update (system wide) a week ago has allowed the use of a USB keyboard for certain activities (apart from the internet channel)

Mogs - Not yet... but it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't soon

In terms of Wii's are great - I agree apart from at 3am when you are still 20 minutes away from a save point and have to be up for 6:30am ... then bed is better !!!

    • It's like that most of the time.  Like many, I can only use it at certain times due to work hours and the queue is always out of the door, that said it does tend to move pretty quickly.  Think I was in and out in 25 mins last time which I would call a success! Don't mind Sue, think she woke up on the wrong side of the Post Office queue this morning!

    • Interesting, because I've been going throughout the past few years with different sets of kids and the parents i'm with have always said it's cold. Also spoke to a couple in passing the past weekend and one even said that's why she never brings her 18 month old because it's too cold. Thanks for your feedback. Maybe it's the room temperature that's throwing me off. But the showers are way definitely way warmer than the pool itself.
    • Twice this month I’ve used the PO upstairs at the old WH Smith’s in Forest Hill. Very helpful and efficient with no long wait. But it’s sods law with post office queues, you just never know.
