Funnily enough (as a boozer) I think booze is a nightmare for this, just double 'black dog' with boozer's gloom the next day, personally a walk and a think does it for me but I'm very rarely low and tend to lean towards rational answers (wether they are right or wrong is besides the point)
I get the booze blues so I avoid when down. I think i try and accept that I feel down and although my immediate thought is to think that the situation is never going to improve I tell myself, through past experience, that eventually it does pass. I think accepting that it is normal to feel down every now and again sort of helps too, your not alone and lots of people go through it and empathise. Being with friends sometimes helps. I also have to give myself something to look forward to. Or you could just whack on the Tom Jones and have a dance in the kitchen...

In the meantime...

(for me anyway)...though (having seen Alina Cojocaru perform at the ROH, this clip doesn't really do her justice)...

    • Perhaps now they can rethink the use of the lifts they actually have got, that do work and are not currently used for passengers.
    • Yes, the Council's scheme for Peckham Rye station square is going ahead and is welcomed. However, the major project for the rebuilding of the station itself to provide improved accessibility has not received government funding and is being 'paused'. There seems little prospect of that scheme now going ahead in the current Parliament. This is regrettable as it is one of the busiest stations on the network outside central London.
    • A  description limited to just " white, 50s, male" would be equally useless in identifying anybody, because it could apply to so many people. What point are you trying to make? And I didn't "jump down the OP's throat." The way the thread has developed is how threads work. Different people have different views on things. And the point about media references to migrants and single mothers was relevant to the discussion.
    • What would be the point of that?  It may work in a  USA style mall where there’s maybe a single point of entry and armed security people.  But here financially, it wouldn’t work.
