I might come along tonight now, but only stay for a couple as I have a 6am start.....I should be easy to spot....all will become apparent.

Can I go now? My tolerance for contrived corporate bllsht is close to breaking point. I may not make it tonight as I will have been dragged off to the loony bin for inflicting grievous bodily with a laptop and a pack of postit notes.

Or, yunno, just say something along the lines of: hello, you from the forum? We're a pretty easy bunch to spot, by and large, just cos we're usually the biggest group in the place.


(I say 'we', but I won't be there myself tonight. Hmph.)

Errrmmmm what if you are not a girly girl & dont have a handbag??? Is there a dress code at the GC, my work colleagues said it has recently been gentrified so can I get away with smart jeans & trainer type shoes???

'K..... Hair... almost done, face half done, need to eat, brush teeth & change tops at least another 3 times, then repeat with shoes before rushing to LL to catch bus down to GC...... Almost there, losing my nerve but I should be there 8:30-9...

I thought I was managing my drink pretty well last night but judging my my head this morning I may well have been talking sh one t to people last night. Very sorry and all that but once again it was great to meet everyone, including some new faces - namely:

:)) I had a great time thanks to everyone for persuading me out to finally meet you all.... What a lovely crowd of peeps... Thanks especially to Em for making me feel at home & introducing me to everyone & for making me laugh so bloody much.... thanks to Piers for being a perfect gentleman (I knew you would be)... Well I could go on & thank you all individually but a) it would take forever ... b) I might miss someone out & offend & 3) Oh... I am at work & should getting ready to protect the mean streets of Bermondsey

      There was good item on Radio 4’s consumer affairs programme You &Yours on 1st December. It was about these CIC fund raising scams and refers to this We R Blighty mob in particular (they have been successfully prosecuted twice and fined for their activities in the City of London). Also mentioned the “knife crime charity” lot who also show up in ED. The advice was to give them nothing and that they are breaking the law. It’s on the BBC Sounds app or via this link  (the item starts at 41m51s in): https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n065      I think you know perfectly well that is not what the poster is saying. There are a lot of CICs (there are now 37,000 of them) that have been set up specifically to mislead the public into handing over money. This We R Blighty is one such.       please report this to the police - were there any witnesses? She should face charges. the owner should not allow dogs off lead - I'm so sorry this has happened.  It would be good if you can identify her - are there cameras - in the cafes around? - follow her, find her address and report her. https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/ac/animal-crime/ also report to the park wardens so they can be found Your Local Council: Contact them to report issues in parks or public areas, especially if you know the dog or owner, as they investigate under local bylaws and the Dangerous Dogs Act. https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/report-a-dog
