Mockey's just winding you up! T-Shirt story, what a load of baloney. ....

Or no, I can;t think of anything cunning to throw you off the scent. Yes I have a "Lost The Plot" t-short, but embarrasingly I could not find it......

All,

When my alarm went off at 5am I was seriously regretting having had more than my supposed two pints. Felt crap all day, and even crapper this morning having watched the rugby in a dive of a pub in Chichester, then rolling into my tent. I think I'm going to have abath now and go to bed.....or maybe watch tonights match in Hoopers....Who knows!

Anyway, to everyone I met, a big thanks for making me feel so welcome. Dicussions included Camera Porn, Golf Porn and Halo 3 Porn.....YOu know who you are so thanks! I look forward to recognising faces on the street now, looking forward to the next one, and will refuse any work for the day after!

You make a very good point about work the next day. With the BEST. WILL. IN. THE. WORLD. it isn't really possible to function post forum drinks. Or worse, a chance encounter outside, say, the Drum or EDT.

This could be viewed as a good sign of the quality of company. As long as employers continue to indulge us...

In a parallel universe I hear told that Keef is still suffering from Friday night. Me too...And I am venturing out once AGAIN tonight (Boothby Graffoe at the East Dulwich Comedy Club if anyone is interested) so I am not learning any lessons. Having a ball tho'

Ouch! Yes and ouch again. Another excellent evening. Got in at 4.30am and then did it all again last night. So ouch!....Oh! might as well carry on, am stuffing my face and drinking a vat of some very nice St Emillion, rugby soon. Come On you Pumas, sorry Brandon. Slurp slurp.

Brandon? Who is this Brandon?

Pumas? Pumas? Well I suppose you'll be wanting a soft final.

Just spoke to my neighbour. Apparently I was singing at the top of m voice when I came up the garden path early yesterday morning. I must have had a good night.

Have been asleep all afternoon in an attempt to recover from my 3 hours kip on Thursday night/fri morning, the 5 hours I had on fri night/sat am, and to top it all off I managed to get to bed at 3.30 this morning.

I don't think that living in ED is doing me any good....... :-S

Drinks, or first timers.....?

I think the obvious answer to that is.. both.

I have to report that despite Friday night, a similar performance on Saturdat AND doing the same tonight I feel ok...... It will all kick in when I arrive at my desk tomorrow I'm sure

Hi, it was really good/interesting to meet some of you on Friday. I didn't get enough time to talk to even half of those there - it was only as I was leaving that I saw that the action had moved outside. Despite my short cameo appearance i still had a good time. I will be sure to stay longer next time - although from the comments above I'm just glad that my head wasn't thumping in the morning.

I don't remember leaving or getting home...:-$

Must remember to eat before these events. Sorry if I talked a load of crap all evening (nothing new there mind you)

It was a good night - what I remember of it anyway....Great to meet some new people and good to see all the regulars again.

Hi Asset - A few people there last night were there on the strength of the Radio 4 show - but I've not heard it so can't comment.

I know that when I saw him present some shows back in the 90s I didn't like him at all and was dissapointed to see him on a bill when I went out to a comedy club some years later - however, that's when I "got" him

I've seen him live several times and he can be dreadfully sloppy but he was great last night. Slightly odd crowd - he got a massive ovation when he finished and got an encore but everyone seemed happier to smile rather than laugh during the show itself. A few other forumites were there too, so it was good to see them too

Good to have the club open again - even if it feels a tad boxfresh. Ron and Emma have put a ton of work into it so I'll be going back for more (reminder - Stewart Lee is on later this month - genius. Shame I can't make it)

Anna - simply buy a spare liver. Works wonders. Simply change them over the morning after the night before and hang the spare one up to dry out for use the next morning.

Hmm, this might have worked except the original came out waving a white flag last night

I took it easy yesterday too, but the lack of sleep, Mrs Keef's cold (cheers luv), and 2 evil hangovers have basically beaten me. Must think about getting dressed and buying some food in a minute...

Oh, and next weekend will be anything but quiet, you know it makes sense! And the Swan was your suggestion! ;-)

    • Well hello Manor men, I went to PM from 74-79. I was in O and Churchill. I can’t remember my tutor but do remember a number of bods. I’ve read a number of posts here about PM and recognise some things. Mudway was an arse. Hardly ever changed his suit.  Guys I remember are Alan Palmer, Wayne Peck ( had an older brother at the school and I think lived Peckham Road, Longleigh House), Owen McClery, Junior Gayle(Wing Chung master), David Banton , Steven Green ( I think he had green eyes), Rodney Evelyn, David Barton, Raymond Gillman (deceased), Neil Warner, Horace Marshaleck (deceased), Steven Watson (two years younger) I have a picture somewhere of the school winning a cross country event against other schools in the South London Press I think.  Teachers - Miss Pugh, Mr and Mrs Webster, Mr Thomas, New French teacher 1978/79 Miss Anspach, Mr Baugh, Mr Nelson, Mr Patel, Mr Sparks, Mr Dowse, African PE teacher, hard as nails, Mr Fenton for careers, Mr Kemel Also, my brother attended Adrian Lewis, a year younger.
    • One gentleman who kept the boards up to date with community notices i.e. local residents' association events, East Dulwich Community Centre, sadly died a few years ago. He never had the keys to the NX Rd board as this was outside his ward (now known as Dulwich Hill). The council changed the locks on the boards and we do not know who was given the keys. The gentleman's widow carries on with posting community notices but only on the odd couple of boards whose locks have been broken and she can lift the cover. If I remember correctly, it was the Lib. Dem councillors in ED that initiated the boards.
    • Thanks, that’s very sensible advice  and I’ll most likely follow it. I shouldn’t need anything from them, and if anything, they may end up needing me as they’re likely to go first. Really appreciate your support.
    • Hi Jason - we had very difficult neighbours at some stage. Differently so from yours - aggressive, drinking fairly heavily etc… I tried to accommodate their many demands (and their huge dog who howled all day and used our garden as his toilet) until one day, I just started ghosting them. Cut off contact entirely, blocked their mobile phone number, ignored them when they tried to speak to me. I point blank refused to deal with them, including when they needed my signature to extend the lease to secure their new mortgage, which really panicked them. This proved highly effective and they moved soon after (after I made them sweat to sign the freehold docs they needed) I don’t know if you want to do the same if there is a personality disorder involved. But if you do, make sure all your paperwork is in order and there’s absolutely nothing you need from them.  I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s really unpleasant.
