Do you 'celebrate' Valentines or not ?

No, as Valentine's Day is a load of old cobblers what with all that forced 'romance'.

Although today wasn't all bad, the guy who was browsing for cards (yes, Valentine's ones) in the shop on North Cross Road, at the same time as me this morning, was kinda nice...

PS - WTII? :-S

Jeez, I thought 30-40 seconds was stretching it a bit !!

Tells every woman on the forum a lot about you (Said the queen)

no substitute for a young stiff beau with a penchant for throwing his woman to the ground and having his wicked way for a good thirty or forty seconds because you deserve it!

I can't think of anything more repulsive (Said the queen)

Queeny these answers of yours, says it all!

I was in the bar humbug camp - but i had 12 rede roses delivered to work with chocolates today. I have been with the man for 25 years, and it is the first time he has ever done this. IT was absolutely fabulous- I was a bit embarrassed on the tube- but then I realised there were a lot of people looking at me and the flowers and I thought "bloody marvellous". Probably wont happen again, but it made me feel great- especially as he is working away.:))

Just as well they didn't decide to go skiing that year.

Seems to me those that say 'I don't do Valentine's Day, it's commercial nonsense' better have a rock-steady record in spontaneous non-commercial unreminded romantic efforts for their loved ones.

A thoughtful message in a card is a lovely thing even if not anonymous.

Still, it's not really celebrating Valentine's Day if you're not surreptitiously getting married under threat of death. Anyone?

No but a) it is from me and should therefore reflect me, and b) the missus is of similar views on over-the-top sentimental tat.

Really, some of the cards would make Barbara Cartland retch.
