Please Help me - Bereavement counselling help, Feeling Lonely and Depressed, Free Help Please

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have posted a couple of times on the thread and hoped these with others comments may have helped you.

Are you looking for someone to talk through what happened with your loss or are you looking for ways to move forward?

Can I suggest you talk to one of the help groups mentioned on the thread or make an appointment with your GP. They are professionals who help people who are grieving and can provide the support you probably need. Each person grieves differently and for some it takes longer than others. Crying is a natural way to release the grief you are experiencing. If you start talking with them and it's not helping just end the call, but also as I have previously said try to think about what you want to get from the conversation/session. In my case I used the internet to read about grieving, the different stages and how to cope, I also tried a councillor and after one session realised it was not for me.

In time (over probably six month's to a year) the grieving will ease and you'll gradually adjust to the loneliness. Had a quick look for bereavement groups locally and found these;

Have you tried calling the helplines suggested earlier in this thread?

Sounds like you could benefit from attending a support group.

You'll have really hard days and others that are not as difficult, can I suggest trying to focus on doing something every day that occupies you for a few hours at a time and see how that goes?

Hi, Because we do not know if you have contacted

any of the suggestions, if not, is this because it's to difficult to phone. You said you would

like to meet up with others who are also grieving,

this is possible through suggestions given. You can ask youd Doctod to be referred for Talking Therapy.

I may be wrong but I don't believe many people would feel able to help on a one to one meeting, outside of an established organisation. Please try to get in touch with one or more of suggeations. If your looking to meet a group you can let them know.

I hope you find the help you need.

These people do meet ups, the website has photos of a group of people in a pub. Get in touch with them Natty x

Hi Natty - I saw this website about bereavement counselling for people in Southwark and wondered if it might be worth trying? It says you can refer yourself (call or use their online form) or ask your GP to refer you.

Hugs, but just wondering whether you have actually followed up any of these suggestions?

I know it's hard, but organisations like Cruse who offer bereavement counselling can only help if you contact them.

Apologies if you have, but it isn't clear from your posts on here that you have.

I hope things get a little easier for you.

Hello Natty,

I don't know your gender or whether you even like football. But, if you do and are female, I regularly (when I am not injured!) play with a very nice and inclusive bunch of ladies. You would be very welcome to join us. The fresh air, exercise and friendly, motivational banter would help your terrible loneliness - I am quite sure. I imagine that it must be very difficult - no, nigh impossible - for you to gather up sufficient energy to do very much in your time of grief, however if this does remotely interest you, PM me for details.

Grief moves at its own pace so give yourself plenty of time.

If you're finding it difficult to contact one of the organisations that have already been suggested, perhaps you'd like to try Bereavement UK's online forum or Facebook page, where you can get support from people who will understand what you're going through.
