Hi people.

About a week ago I picked my car up from the garage following it's succesful MOT (phew) and descovered that ?2 was missing from the change I keep in the ashtray. I'm 99.9% sure the money was there and I know it's only ?2 but I hate the thought that some thieving little s*** has taken my hard earned cash. I bottled it at the time and drove away. I've been taking my car there for years and they've always been brilliant so I didn't want to rub them up the wrong way and potentially have to find a new garage!

Would you have said something at the time or was I right to let it go??

Might they have left it unattended and unlocked on the street? If so that's a bit careless of them. If that might have happened you could mention (next time you use them) that something was stolen from your car without making a big issue of it and without implying it was them.

If the garage gave good service, I wouldnt bother to change it.

I would put the two pound loss down to exsperiance,no shame in not challenging it, maybe it was a someone wanting a bag of chips and thought your two quid was a tip.,beacause not many people leave things in their cars when they go for service.

Forget it , a good lesson for only two quid.

    • The council are really backward in their approach to management of grounds etc.  They will cut grass and mow through wild flowers / it seems continue to use pesticides according to some observations posted here.   Whilst having green policies food recycling etc blocking roads installing Bill n Ben flower pots in roads causing all sorts of heavy traffic in certain roads.  And installing new LED lights etc when we have adequate functioning lights already.   The impact on wildlife and quality of life for all is devastating.
