I watched the Chris Morris film '4 Lions' last week and again this weekend. It's absolutely hilarious. Has anyone else seen it? Would be interested to see if anyone was actually offended by it given the subject of the film ( Jihad Islamic terrorists).

If you haven't seen it you need to..haven't laughed at a film like that in years!

Yes and I enjoyed it.

Brave of Morris to do it in terms of topic. Most of our current comics stick to 'safer' religions rightly or wrongly.

Film did not condone the subject matter but put it into 'human' context.

Not a deep film by any means but both extremely funny and reasonably thought provoking.

I regularly use the innovative avoidence tactic for face recognition CCTV when out and about in London......

Agreed, more gentle in approach but not in subject. I think that it worked better as a feature length film because of this.

I am a big fan of Morris and enjoy all of the radio and television stuff but the format for these is shorter so maybe needs/is best with the more full on approach. Having said that Nathan Barley is the only thing that I have not got into as yet. Don't know why, but it doesn't grab me. Only seen a couple of episodes so maybe need to revisit.

CM has without a doubt the twisted brain-wrong of a one-off man mental.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
