All things aside, CamperVanMan's a little too cocksure for me.

I think he's lying. I don't know about what.

He has the arrogance of a smug schoolboy who's stolen some Kola Kubes and knows you can't 'get' him because he's stuffed them down his trousers and will cry 'paedophile' if you challenge him.

It wasn't 'my sister birthday' it was 'my little sister's birthday'. It's manipulative. He's trying to present himself as an angel. He's a bullshitter.

Since he tried to manipulate you with the 'little' the rest of what he says is worthless. He's demonstrated a willingness and capacity to deceive.

>:D< You tell 'em quids!

Also, has anybody who has become chums with TCVM asked him why he doesn't park nearer to/on the premises of his vehicle renting site in London Bridge?! It's a good half an hour/hour drive in rush hour and strikes me as illogical... Especially if he's got to do it every day?!

What an unusual analogy.

Are you speaking from experience?!

AND I notice he hasn't taken me up on the offer. I guess that tells me all I need to know about my neck of the woods. Can't even tempt a(potentially too smug) down on his luck van man. With or without a little sister.

This thread has amazed me firstly Ruby Shoes if I totally agree with where you are coming from but have you read 'The Lady In The Van' by Alan Bennett.

As a child I remember passing this amazing house in Camden (the posh part - Gloucester Terrace) and couldn't work out why a dirty old van was parked in the drive with a scary old lady inside. Years later when 'The Lady In The Van' was in the West End I pieced everything together. Mum confirmed it was Alan Bennett's house.

Not at all - I've never met you so how on earth would I know that! I meant that his attitude to a person living in a van outside his house is not the same as yours has been on this thread. But I don't want to spoil the play by saying much more. I hope you do love it though. I saw it performed with Maggie Smith, it was just genius.
I am now totally intrigued, will let you know how I find it. And FYI, Legalbeagle, I didn't think I'd have to end up saying this, but my initial post stating my disgruntlement over TCVM, well, maybe I was 'over-amplifying' my opinion somewhat. I am not all that bad, actually quite easy-going & open-minded about most things. I'll let you know how the read goes, I'm really looking forward to it now!!!

Well good for you for saying so. Enjoy the play and if it ever gets revived, DEF go and see it!

    • Today between approximately 3:30 and 4:00 PM, someone entered the back door of an estate agency and stole items from the kitchen, including a microwave and kettle. The individual then proceeded to trash the kitchen before leaving. This happened near Shawbury/Lordship Lane. If anyone saw a man carrying these items or acting suspiciously in the area around that time, please report it to the authorities and let me know. if anyone has access to cameras located near the area, your help would be appreciated.  Let’s help keep our community safe.
    • Well, that makes me feel better about my presently chaotic "office" (aka dumping ground for random stuff 😀) I do use it for an office as well though. That's what I'm supposed to be doing now, instead of mindlessly scrolling on my phone 😭
    • There is a repair workshop which runs every so often near The Old Nun's Head, where things can be fixed for free. Afraid I don't have the details, but I'm sure someone on here will.
    • Thank you Rhian, but I am looking for pebbles/cobbles .
