OK. That is nothing like the Nunhead one, as it seems nobody can post on it, and you have to contact them if you want to promote your business etc..

It certainly doesn't seem to be a place for discussion, so far as I can see.

I vaguely remember when it was set up.

Why do you think this is Fox? The Chief used to advertise it as an open to everyone type of thing.

That's the The River Curry isn't it, the one that flows under Lordship Lane.

Sydenham was called 'Sydenbeef' before, but it got cheapened by ham and the name stuck.

Public Flogging. Small child stole a loaf of bread.

There was discipline in those days..

    • Thanks. I dropped off the books that I thought would be most helpful for them already this week.  Thanks for the advice. I have advertised the ones that may be of use for studies on this forum then dropped off some at Oxfam in Herne Hill and others at the Bell End House book exchange. Still a few more to drop which I will likely give to Mind on LL who I like.
    • I wouldn't undervalue your expertise Bob.  When I occasionally have professionals around they always thank me for advice and don't mind the work taking twice the time.  One offered to treat me with an old fashioned sixpence to go to the flicks and go away.  Although even the Plex isn't that cheap.
    • St Christopher's on LL I'd list them for free as well on this website.
    • I've got noisy neighbours.  Some are always cutting wood and metal over the weekend and into the summer evenings using mitre saws, angle grinders and the like.  Breaking up concrete with Kangos.  Getting concrete poured or skips changed at 7 in the morning. And then there are those to lazy (they say they are busy) to cut their lawns and hedges cut, so rather than using quieter electric mowers etc the professional do it with motor mowers and electric strimmers.  Then there are the BBQs and outdoor parties, with the loud music and conversations, or the kids' parties the worst culprit has a pool so in warm weather kids swarm round there.  There are noise controls for building work and big DIY projects, but many don't adhere to them.  So much for good neighbours.
