There was a sandpit there in 1907 (see attached, copyright British Library). So how long has it been without one?

That's looks great - will bring such benefit to the park, and lots of fun for the kids.

Any chance the team could move onto Dulwich Park after completion and fix the 'how much did that cost/what were they thinking/kids want a playspace, not a wall' playground.....

Thanks for posting this MRS Y. This is part of the improvements of facilities for our younger residents. There will be a new playroom for the under 5s (one O'clock club), improvements to the adventure playground and changing rooms for the sports teams.

Hopefully young and old will be able to use the facilities, I will definitely be taking my grandchildren to the under 5 and the adventure playground.

Will the water run uphill?

The worry will be if it will be cleaned each morning. Cats, dogs and foxes love a bit of sand.

Does anyone else remember the paddling pool broken glass vandalism?

Finding shards of glass in sand might prove difficult.

Is this where the old playground used to be, which then became an adventure playground with lots of climbing apparatus?

I remember they had a paddling pool in the park when my daughter was little, many years ago.

And I still don't know if peeps with Blue Badges can park near enough to cafe for some of us to walk..... Grrrr no way can I make it from present reserved parking.
